1986 comanche xls. Price not listed
strictlyxjs replied to Muncher's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
He wants a fortune. Went to look at it. Its pretty rotten sadly unibody, bed no floors gm v6 doesnt run .my friend went with truck and trailer with 800 cash and the guy laughed at him. This was like 6 months ago. He told us on the phone he needs to move the cars out of there quickly so we tried doing a VERY generous package deal for all of them and he declined. don't waste your time lol. -

I have a few extras if you need one -
Pretty sure those strips are stainless steel not chrome. You should be able to sand them and paint them.

sorry i meant to post this in tech somehow i goofed and posted it here. Mods feel free to move to tech. @Pete M

I was thinking about this. I might have to remove the tailgate when using it. sometimes my boss has me deliver transmissions and transfer cases I suppose it would be useful for loading a transmission to save my back.

has anyone used one of these bed cranes before? I really want one so i can lift maybe an engine or axle into my mj if i need to. I was thinking of tying it into the unibody/frame with some big square U bolts and 1/2" plate along with maybe a hitch plate on that side.... I like that its pretty much hidden until you need to use it.

86 2.5l 2wd restoration/work truck
strictlyxjs replied to strictlyxjs's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
I kinda want them for my collection but would def lend them out to CC members if they needs to borrow them. The only reason i ask is I see the blue self tester on ebay all the time for around $70 but i rarely see the ms1700 listed on there. -

3:55s as far as i know. i will be putting 410 axles from a 4cyl in it eventually. It has plenty of power on the highway it really just needs a 5th gear. I have the opportunity to get the ms1700 scanner as well as the renix self test computer from work. What are they worth? I want to make my boss a fair offer on them. My boss mistakenly threw a DRB2 in the trash and said he threw out the renix scanners by mistake too. Luckily i found the 2 renix scanners behind some boxes so i hid them lol. -
i remember years ago they did a $60 all you can carry day. Someone told me about a group of guys where yelling at eachother in spanish while frantically working on a mid 90s toyota tercel. It turns out they collected parts from a whole bunch of other cars there and got one running. They drove it across the finish line and got to keep the car.
