One of the ones i worked on the other night that weight box held tools like a huge level, shovels and pry bars. It was a neat little setup.

Hey guys i was wondering if you guys have these around you too. Alot of people ive talked to say they have never heard of it...Its a jeep with a crane built in it used for installing curbing in parking lots and roads. There are TONS of them around here. It seems every construction company around here had a unit identical to this one. We get all the local construction companies bringing them in for service or engine replacements at our shop. They are usually clapped out and abused but i guess they work real good for the intended purpose.

Yup. Still shocked i could climb his 37s they look small in the pic.

Why destroyed out of curiosity? Because they cut pass the pinch seam. I know most people do the cut and fold method? I'm not a fan of cut fenders which is why when i built my xj i planned it so the 33 tuck into the body perfectly even with 33" long arm on 4.5 lift and no trimming.

Not sure if this is the case here but my boss will sometimes raise the price on items we don't have in stock. For example he ran out of renix 2.5 computers so he raised the price to like 1k on ebay until we got some more. I guess its easier leave it listed something with ebays algorithm. -
86 2.5l 2wd restoration/work truck
strictlyxjs replied to strictlyxjs's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Hey guys. Ive been away for a bit. My appologies. My wife gave birth to our first son so i have been busy enjoying my time with him and only working on the comanche when he naps. I do have some updates as i ended up doing my graphics from pheonix graphics and got matching blue seats (still need to shampoo them there is a rust stain on the pass seat) from my boss as well. My boss also hooked me up with a NOS downpipe as I'm now working on exhaust. -

Thanks guys truck was very very base. I'm suprised it has power steering! Its getting all the goodies it deserves after a hard life. I will note it had a spray painted black chrome bumper when i got it and the pass side bumper ear was bent so it must have been in a collision at some point.

The old timer told me this one was an aw4 overhall tool set. There are no markings on it but i have no reason not to believe him. He was amc jeep tech for years and years.. turns out its the guy phil mentioned earlier in the hemmings article i posted! It was sad hearing him talk about how he had to move on. Hopefully he enjoys his retirement.

Not sure he wants to go through it all first and we are trying to balance that with taking apart jeeps we already have in the yard. It doesnt help that the guy brought us another pickup truck load from the dealership today

My poor 2000 xj. I ruined a nice jeep. 335k ( 2nd motor has 340k on it). It refuses to die and probably never will. Last picture is most recent.
