  3. the 4 cylinder used a mechanical stepper motor, not an idle air controller like the 4.0 six.

  8. Buy a gallon. Just drain it using the plug and refill. About 3.8 quarts. Do not remove the pan unless it needs resealed.
  9. Make sure you have a good ground from the firewall to the engine, even if you have to add one. the 2.46L engines were very fussy about this.
  10. Find a core to build. Keep driving what you've got until you get the core built.
  11. Depends what the leak is. A valve cover gasket can make a huge mess everywhere. What's your budget?
  12. Your problem could be as simple as a cheaP AND CRAPPY OIL FILTER. uSE WIX OR nAPA gOLD.
  13. Check the intake manifolds as Pete mentioned, and inspect these hoses.
  14. If that ground on the firewall under the 15mm heaDED BOLT IS NOT BARE METAL CONTACT, AND/OR GHE STRAP IS NOT MAKING CONTACT AT THE HEAD, YOU WILL HAVE FITS WITH THE 2.5.
  15. Snow in Arizona. This is at 7 am on Thursday. By Friday afternoon, it was up over the rocker panels. still went out with the ZJ.
  16. The bearing in that idler pulley is the same as an alternator bearing.
  17. Just get the parts from an XJ. This is one of those situations where free stuff or stuff you have laying around is not a cost effective route in time, money, or both.

  19. HO exhaust manifold on Renix: If you want to use the HO exhaust manifold, you must go with an HO headpipe and screw your O2 sensor into that headpipe. Standard Renix harness is plenty long to do so. A bung can be welded into the HO manifold to accept the EGR tube also.
  20. Do the instrument panel ground upgrade.
