  1. I am curious on this though..... is there maybe a difference in sizing between old and new XJ body cladding other then rounded edges? Why would these fit and not the old style? BTW. Very nice Comanche!
  2. This thread does bring some light onto my thinkings..... I installed a set of Napier flares into my MJ and when I did the back I did ponder "hmm these honestly don't look much bigger" but that would make sense if there designed for the XJ which apparently ~2" smaller. Thus making it a big improvement for XJs but then not too much on MJs.
  3. Https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5a/1946-7_Hudson_pickup_black-rf.jpg Sweet truck!
  4. Well at least I didn't molest a Hudson!
  5. Well insert foot into mouth. If I knew that I would been more carefull
  6. So what everyone is saying is I SHOULDNT have litterally ripped off my MINT condition rear flares when I went to cut outs? And should have preserved them carefully? @#&$%#%@&@%
  7. Personally I like doing everything at least 3-4 times till I get it right and spend as much money as possible along the way.
  8. Got 10 bolt on spst relays and harnesses off of amazon for $10+2day shipping. Wired up my low/highs off of that. Still have to neaten up the wires a little. But work significantly better then factory! It really is a huge improvement
  9. ^^ Best advice out there! ^^
  10. Teaching my daughter young...
  11. Not hard. Just tedious.
  12. Also got my sev marchal lights mounted and wired
  13. And everything fully prepped and painted with rustoleum spray bed liner
  14. New metal welded in and some seam sealer along the tops too
  15. Typical floor rot. And some frame rot in front of the drivers rear spring perch
  16. Found some old pics from back when I first got the truck! Ink is pretty much gone. But still had the original build sheet under the seat!
  17. I personally really like the fact it uses the leaf spring bolt. Just makes the whole rear frame more solid and robust
  18. Have you done anything with your plates yet? And that quote sounds so wrong in so many ways. Lol hahahaha. I haven't YET I just got done replacing my leaf springs and reversing the hanger bolt so I can EASILY use the 4th hole. And I'm nervous on the removability of my bunmper bolts so I'm procrastinating
  19. Krusty-hitches. "When there's no other option"
  20. OME is the bees knees when it comes to ride quality
  21. Also shout out to Ferrara Spring Works in Springfield MA! They custom bent me 4 U-bolts in less than 10min. And supplied hardware and two 9/16-5" grade 8 bolts for $35. awesome guys to deal with!
  22. I haven't done the other side yet. But I didn't tighten anything till it was on its own weight. I really don't want it to look like it was (Haha). And I'm contributing it to how warn and flattened the old ones were. But I do know everything will settle.
  23. Still need to do the passenger side. But perfect bolt in swap. I'm highly pleased
  24. Just got the hell creek metric tons installed. Jeep was originally 2wd. So after the swap and a 1" lift shackle I gained exactly 2 inches. Which is spot on factory spec then.
