  1. Given that it's already had the wiring/engine/trans stripped from it, I am hoping to find a '97+ XJ 4x4 that's been hit hard in the rear as a donor and do a complete parts/drivetrain swap. If I find a '96 like that, I'd go that route as well and keep it stock on the outside. For now, I will just get the title transfer done and sit on it as I have a couple other projects ahead of it. Eh, while a 96 would be easier to swap over everything, IMO the 99+ interior is the perfection of the XJ line. (97/98 makes me wanna puke) Plus, the 97+ conversion is what all the cool kids are doing. Whats the difference in 99+ vs 97, 98? I also plan on at least a partail 97+ swap one day, makes it look as if they made MJs through the 90s
  2. Much better :clapping: you did a nice job on the trimming. i like the fenders back on
  3. Welcome  it sure is quite the addiction. Rob is right
  4. Looks like a pretty nice find. and extra parts are always good to have. What are your plans for it?
  5. No more information than Big day? :hmm: what have you gotten done?
  6. I get that all the time. Pics of your trimming?
  7. I just got home from a weekend trip to Charleston, SC (about 9 hrs of driving each way) and saw 2 Comanches on the road during the trip. The first was Friday, white and going north on I-77, looked like it had quite a bit of rust on the bed. Then today, I saw another white one with a camper in Blacksburg, VA that I've seen around town many times there while I was in school. Made the trip soo much better.

wow thats incredibly clean for being 14 years old. Nice find  I almost bought one of those as my first car years ago.
  9. :agree: don't think he can get that much for it. However, a friend of mine bought a YJ that was built from gound up, absolutely beautiful jeep sitting on 36's and has a 350 in it for 10,000 so custom builds are possible to pull that. I don't think this MJ is worth more than about 6 IMO
  10. Thats sweet looking. He has done lots of custom work on that.
  11. Still have my first one...for now. Ma has gotten tired of it sittin in the front yard doing nothing so it'll be gone soon. But the second one I plan on keeping forever. And will probably add to the number once I have a place of my own
  12. That's awesome  All hand done?
  13. I had wanted a pickup since I started driving about 8 years ago but never found the right one for the right price. Over the years all of my friends had jeeps that we all worked on like a religion so I knew I wanted a Jeep so I looked into it. I quickly found the perfect match a beautiful creation. Now the only problem was finding one close by that wasnt a total POS. The first one I found was but the second is great and I'm always looking for the next one.
  14. So you got rid of 8 and still have 8? I don't see the problem
  15. Not to try to hijack this but do the metric ton leafs give a lift over the non MT leafs? if so, how much
  16. Welcome and good luck with the build. Isnt there supposed to be a floor there where all that brown nasty stuff is? :rotf:
  17. yes. I thought that 8.25 was looking a little weird today :hmm: Truck looks to be in good shape. Wish my paint looked that nice.
  18. You havent seen it? Theres a picture right there in youre post :rotf: Doesnt look to be in too bad of shape from just that angle.
  19. Looks good  Love that blue
  20. The cleanest part on my MJ is....well there isn't a clean part. I thought they were supposed to stay muddy :rotf:
  21. I have five handguns. My favorite all-around is the P38. I havent shot many different ones and would like to get one of those 1911s  but the p38 is great, especially since my grandfather got it off of a dead nazi officer
  22. The gun will only shoot as good as the shooter. I have a WWII walther p38 9mm and love it. It really is up to you and what you feel comfortable with.
