  1. Thats too bad about your service. Ive had sprint for about 7 years and don't ever want to change. It was originally and still is the best service at my house(which is why we went to it in the first place). I'm pretty sure all providers have their dead spots and apparently sprint has one over your house. Best bet, if you want it at home, is to have friends over with different providers and see who has the best service where you want it.
  2. That and not all garages are insullated, the a/c unit would never stop running and that electric bill will be surprising
  3. Thats what I thought as soon as I took a good look at it a few months ago. Its now been posted for sale at 3000 for a month now and no serious buyers. Kinda disheartening when I expected it to go real quick at that price.
  4. The code that it shows is P0301 cylinder 1 misfire. I know that can mean alot of things. Ive done: replaced plug wires checked for correct gap on all plugs, might replace soon took off and cleaned throtle body and all connections involved
  5. I wouldnt be doing a full interior swap. Seats max but doubtful since they don't fold like MJ seats do and should.
  6. The rear hatch was struck by a tree :fs1: they just jump out at you sometimes. Its been replaced but from a different model, the white trim model so that piece just above the plate is white instead of black (only noticeable difference)
  7. I have a complete 98 Cherokee that has a misfire that I havent been able to figure out for some time now and have contemplated in the past to parting it out as a part of my 97+ conversion on my MJ. A good friend of mine has asked about buying the transmission off it, his is giving him fits, so the debate has continued. I would be taking the fenders, header panel, and possibly the doors. With those pieces as well as the transmission gone, is there any chance I can get about 2k from selling off the parts/scraping whats left? I had originally bought if it for the conversion but second guessed myself since its actually in pretty decent shape. Just looking for opinions and/or offers to buy things if thats the route I go.
  8. Sorry to hear about your fathers health. However, he seems like a great guy and seems like itd be one hell of a baseball conversation with him. Baseball is my life. Ive been playing since I was 4 yrs old, so 20 years now. My father was my T-ball coach way back then and we still have baseball conversations, hes not as knowledgeable as I am about the sport but its still fun. Now that I'm out of school, I see all my friends putting down their glove for good, where I still play in a mens leage where my coach, at age 57, still plays every once in a while with 18 year olds. I hope I can play for another 30+ years like he does. As a matter of fact, I went to a ball game this past Saturday with my old man, had a blast watching the Braves v Nats game in DC (I'm a huge Braves fan and he a Nats) We make sure to get to at least one game a season and hope to do it forever.
  9. nice fleet! That first XMJ thing is quite the beast.
  10. Congrats! now whats in store for next week
  11. Nice start. Good luck with the resto.
  12. Congrats! will light one up for you
  13. Thats awful news. On the bright side, he left his information and seems very sorry for doing it. Hopefully you can work something out with him for repairs and it's not too much.
  14. That's because he is..... I am not surprised that Jim could Jeep his way out of a speeding ticket. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: The cop probably wrote himself a ticket.
  15. This is all I could think about. This is what I was thinking your video was going to be: pDy41hvdq4s Rob Both are great pull-over scenes. Classic movies. Great story Jim :clapping: I bet they don't get too many jokesters.
  16. Sounds like you answered your own question. But you're insecure and want encouragement from others who have no idea what your dream is. Only you can decide what's best for you. Go for it or don't. You don't need others to guide you mate. Sink or swim. :agree: Sure seems like you answered it yourself. If it's your dream, you and only you can make a final decsion. Our opinions here are strictly only opinions and really don't offer much help since we are not you and don't have your dreams. Take a good long look at what you would be giving up and see if that is worth losing to achieve this dream. Also does that dream outweigh those things you may be giving up. Live life to the fullest.
  17. Congrats! I read your MJ story and you would think reflective stickers could catch the eye of someone reading a license plate :rotf: dumb cops.
  18. Great looking truck. Youve gotten a lot done, yet still a lot left  That 8.8 sure would be a steal at $50.
  19. Looks good. Now you just need to fix up that bed, lookin a little rusty.
  20. That makes more sense, ive never seen a 9" with disc brakes. 8.8s off of exploreres had disc brakes so are nice finds.
  21. 40s? damn you wanna go big. That might not be the best idea since itll raise COG a lot. I know Rustys makes a 9" long arm kit. I would have to imagine 38s would be fairly easy to clear with that lift on. If you don't want to buy a kit you could part it together, might make it easier, but those parts are most likely harder to come by. Most guys tend to stop going higher that 6 to keep the center of gravity lower, which is better for all wheeling. The difference between 40s and 37s is only about an inch or so of clearance and lots of money. With tires that big, youll also have to spend money to upgrade axles and gears to turn the big rubbers. Good luck with your build
  22. Your exhaust will probably have to be custom made unless the old MJ exhaust isnt ruined. Rear drive shaft: depending on ride height you may have to get a new one. I personally took a shaft from a longbed and shortened it to the exact length I needed, only about 70 bucks and havent have a problem with it. All of the front suspension parts will bolt right up, rear parts are completely different. Leaf springs are longer for MJs. The front axle vacuum, some people will say there is a difference but it would be very very little if any IMO so go ahead and shim it to avoid any problems with the vacuum.
  23. That sounds about right. I have seen some late May VINs so I figured there were a few after that. I happen to have one of the early 92s, a September build, still that last year though.

I believe within the next month or so well be coming up on the sad day of the end of production for the MJ :( Whats the latest production date that has been found and does anyone know the exact date that the production was stopped? It will for sure be a sad anniversary.
