  1. When i was in college in Blacksburg va, I saw 2 around town all the time. One white one at the same house for multiple years, sure looked like a dd to me.
  2. :rotf: jims version is funnier imo but both are good
  3. congrats on the promotion!

  7. :agree: double that and you might be close :rotf: always keep the MJs!!!
  8. Yea, definitely sucks big time. I ended up getting power back around noon Thursday. At work friday someone said that he wasnt going to get power until Sat or Sunday. We had a random T-storm yesterday and our power went out for about 30 min and we just thought 'not again' :wall: but it came back.
  9. :rotf: so true
  10. Yea thats it. stupid @$$ storm. Power came on last night around 8 and I was away from the house so I hurried my @$$ home to close windows and crank the a/c. Sure enough, when I got home, it was dark. :fs1: Power co. this moring says it should be back on this evening, first time theyve even given an estimate on when itll be back. Oh and bring them zombies on...
  11. same. been so damn busy, havent had time to spend money
  12. can't remember what the name of the stupid thing was, but I came home from the beach saturday afternoon to trees all over the roads, 100+ outside and no power. I call around, find out about the rare storm that came whipping through VA and the surrounding areas that had tornado speed winds. Ripping trees out of the ground all over. Today, my house is still without power, so I'm sitting outside my dad's office for A/C and internet, wondering if I'll ever sleep in my bed again. I know theres some members from this area on here and was wondering if anyone had damage because of the storm. We had 2 trees down across my .25 mile road and one in my yard thats dead and had been waiting to come down, but luckily no damage to any of our property, except for the garden. I sure wish I stayed at the beach, where its much nicer weather and there is a/c.
  13. Today is the coolest day since thursday and the next 7 days are projected hotter as well. Its 95 today with lots of humidity.
  14. :rotf: awesome! Thats pretty accurate :rotfl2:
  15. Thats not a bad idea. inverting the vents would at least not draw your eyes to the very different lines there. I don't think there are really many options for that part of it without chopping the body up to a million pieces. But when your doing this project, isnt that what your doing anyways? :hmm:
  16. not much longer now. I'm going to just sit back and watch. don't have the money or space for a 4th jeep :fs2:
  17. Thats about what I'm aiming for too. I have about 5 on mine now, might end up 6 or 7ish by the time its all said and done, and going with 34 or 35s. Best of luck with the build. Very time consuming if you havent already noticed.
  18. Welcome! great start to the build. Definitely does help to have a welding wife.
  19. Welcome to the club  I enjoyed your MJ story, what are your longer term plans for the truck? looks like a good foundation to start with.
  20. free is always a good price. get some pics once its uncovered
  21. SOA will add quite a few inches. How sagged your springs are also factor into it. I got about 6 when I did mine. It had an old 3" pack and now sits about 9" which is too much for what I want. Not too complicated tho. Cut off perch and weld new one onto the top of the tube, just make sure the angle of the perche is the same and is appropriate to your ride height.
  22. The options are 6 and 7 foot beds. 8 would look very strange on these trucks. 7 looks odly long IMO. Stick with the plan, youll be very happy. As far as streat legal seats in the bed. Youll have to check state laws. I'm pretty sure here in VA I can have as many people sitting in the bed of my truck (assuming they are 16 or 18) as long as they are sitting on the bed floor and not in a chair or on a rock. Ive strapped a beach lawn chair into it and havent had a problem in the past.
  23. I say of course. Why buy anything else? I bought my 92 about 3 years ago with about 185k on it and recently I only get around to starting it once a month and its still always first crank. If you do your research and find one that's been somewhat taken care of and has a 4.0, you will enjoy it. Extremely reliable and tough motors and will last forever, well almost. Being in Alabama, you shouldn't have a rust bucket near you, which is very good. Go for it but do your research before buying so you will have something that can be a good DD while you tinker with it.
  24. Ill take a Tshirt. don't really care what color. xl
