wow. almost enough to build a truck from scratch.
-
The blinkers decided to blink last night but seem a little slow going. I'll check the sockets of all four corners sometime soon and maybe just taking the bulb out and reinserting will make a better connection and will work all the time.
-
My blinkers have recently stopped working. :fs1: However, the lights still work, they just don't blink. When I hit the turn signal, nothing happens and when I turn on the hazard lights, the lights all come on but don't blink off. So it seems to me that a relay or something has gone bad preventing the lights to blink on and off but I can't find anything like that and I'm a little lost. :help:

I'm guessing your leaning towards some mud terrain so the km2 or the orriginal bfg mt if you can find them work great IMO. :agree: TOYO does not seem to get it from my experience.

1986 MJ 2.5L 4x4 | "Heavy Four"
86customanche replied to 87Warrior's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Are these the wheels you are refering to? I have a set of 4 of them that I was thinking of using for small tires in case I needed smaller ones for inspection but I guess I could part ways with them. I'll double check when I get off work today. -
*** COMANCHE CLUB shirts/hoodies order for 2011 ***

When will you be taking orders again? I seem to have missed out on this batch and would love a t shirt -
Comanche Quest....something to make you laugh. (LONG)

haha great story :rotfl2: That sucks if you've actually gone through something like this. I can only imagine how frustrating it is -
Now what kind of T shirt would a bunch of CC members all be interested in?

What did you do to be sure that you put the hinges back in the exact same spot as when it came off the line? I'm strongly considering this since there is about a 1/2" gap at the top of my drivers door where anything can get in, mainly water :fs1: It definitely looks like something I could do with my minimal skills. Great write-up btw.

Awesome truck! You have given me many ideas for my truck and I'm sure you got it done on yours in a fraction of the time it'll take me.

I'm younger than my first MJ and my second is a 92 but made in 9/91 so it's not one of the last

congrats!

I avoid writing the date as much as possible, probably for the reason I'd write 2010 or 2009 even, who knows. The few times I do write the date I double check the date since I probably don't know the day either.

I wasn't but I'm glad the opinions are out there. Not everyone likes it but some do. I happen to be one of those that does like it. I don't have any way of building my own and I don't have deep pockets. I know someone else who has a front and rear bumper from nates for his Cherokee and he hasn't ever complained about them so I knew they were solid products and the price is great. I was just getting the name out there in case someone was looking for a cheap bumper to be built for them that puts function over style.

What Would You Change About Your Comanche?
86customanche replied to CaffeineTripp's topic in The Pub
Major: rebuild the 4.0 so it gives me another 200,000 (odometer reads about 220,000) fix all body work such as rust and dents and get it painted Minor: Clean interior, new tires, pass inspection :fs2: -
Make something that goes into the receiver. Use some square stock and a piece of plate, weld them together, and screw the plate to that. Get one of those cheap tag lights, and wire it to a trailer wire connector. When you don't have a trailer, use a bolt to bolt the plate bracket into the receiver and plug the light into your trailer harness. When you are ready to tow a trailer, pull the works out. Won't need the plate with a trailer on anyway. Rob Not a bad idea. I'll have to look into that. I'm not sure if its wired for a trailer tho. I do still have the factory tag light that I guess I could mount on the plate you're talking about, might have to extend the wires but that's not a big deal. Thanks for the idea. I'll post a pic on this thread if I decide to go that route.

It's slightly narrow. I actually don't have a pic from my truck but on his website there are a bunch of pics at different angles and I'm sure there's one from straight back so show the full width.

I don't know if any of you guys have checked it out but Nates 4x4 has now come out with a rear bumper for the MJ at a very reasonable price. It starts base and you can get different add-ons for more money, naturally. I got mine installed the other day and it looks great. Now I just gotta find a way to mount my rear licence plate and light. :hmm:
