  1. I remember this as well from several years ago, and I think they were pretty spot on. I'm in the same boat, but can't remember all the specifics on them
  2. Saw 2.59 here today. Diesel is in the 3.30 area, but my truck holds 58 gallons and I don't drive it that much so I usually don't worry about diesel prices....until it's time to fill it
  3. Rock auto is a good source for a lot of harder to find parts. Turn signal lenses I'm sure you could find on eBay, or the junkyard. Comanches and cherokees are virtually the same cab forward.
  4. This thread makes me shake my head....
  5. Long arms are not necessary on a 3 inch lift. I've always been a fan of RE, but there is a lot of opinions on suspension manufacturers.
  6. I think you should keep the pacers and sell me the moabs....
  7. Fix your truck before you lift your truck. This^. No sense putting thousands of dollars into a POS
  8. I'd say are far as safety, you mad a major improvement
  9. Good catch I went SOA so I ditched the stock spring plates
  10. I just did an 8.25 swap. The perches need to be moved. Also, the shock mounts are different from XJ to MJ. The MJs shocks are both located on the same side, where the XJs have one on one side and one in the other. It's a pretty sttraight forward swap.
  11. You can jump it with a wire. I think I picked up a new one a few years ago from rock auto. I know it is measured in ohms, but can't remember for sure that value.
  12. That's a good idea as well. I'm sure that would draw a bigger crowd
  13. Yeah, I just read that they are pretty good about releasing that type of info. I'm going to give them a call monday.
  14. This is where the grey area comes in. I've heard they produce .5" less lift all the way up to 3" less lift. However a lot of these answer are from people using stock TJ coils, which have a lighter spring rate. I'm not sure if the same applies on aftermarket coils. RE shows 2 different part numbers for their 5.5" TJ and XJ coils
  15. So I've read several threads asking this same question, but can't get a straight answer on this. Anyone with any experience have some input? I have a chance to pick up brand new RE 5.5" TJ coils for cheap, but not sure on how much lift I'll get out of them. Any help is appreciated.
  16. He's asking about a manual to auto swap..
  17. Anything's possible with money. The short answer, no you can't just swap stuff.
  18. Might not be the best looking vehicle in the world, but it's pretty damn awesome. Not often we get this much info/pics of a one off Manche
  19. I'd cut it short and be done with it
  20. 32's you'll need at least a 4.5" lift to fit them. I had 32's on my 92 that was SOA and was sitting at about 5.5" of lift.
  21. We'll definitely have to get something more formal planned out. I plan to have mine trail worthy by early spring so I should be good to go pretty early in the year
  22. Finally a decent update. Got the 8.25 prepped, perched welded on, and painted. Also, did some rust removal and a few other small things. Need to order a few parts, and I'll be able to at least move it up and down the driveway. Driver side bed was worse then I thought, so I had to take more metal then planned, but it will be mostly a trail rig so I'm not too worried about it.
  23. No need to truggy to make a very capable trail rig. Also if it's in decent shape, a 92 is hard to come by, I'd hate to see it get hacked up into a truggy. No rear axle will bolt in no modifications except an axle from a Comanche. At the minimum you would need new perches welded on. Also, axle choices would depend on how big of tires you plan to go with. As for a front axle, the D30s are limited on strength. A lot of people shorten D44s from from older Ford pick ups. There is definitely more, but projects like this can get pricy quickly
