Sure was. If it's a factory console, there will be no hole for the parking brake handle used on the XJ. It will just be a solid piece of plastic instead.

Adding on to this. My parents bought me a welder. Nothing crazy, just a cheapo 120 mig, but it's a good starting point and will have many uses with my project.

Purchase price of 500. Made about 300 back selling parts off my parts XJ. Add in a battery and a few other odds and ends I'm in to it all for about $500 so far. Planning to stay budget minded and get it on the road for under $1000. Still on the right track
