  1. Ha! Damned vacuum line for map sensor was off! Thanks so much onlyinajeep! Must have got bumped somehow.
  2. 1988 Jeep Comanche, 4.0, 5 Speed, 2wd. I've had it for a few months, did plugs, wires, cap, rotor, water pump, and some other maintenance when I got it. Its been running good, but had an oil leak, and clutch slave cylinder was going out. So this past week I did pilot bearing, slave, rear main, and oil pan gasket. While it was apart, I noticed the crank position sensor wire was burned up. I cut the burnt a action out and soldered new wire in. I got it all back together last night, and now it has a horrible rough idle. Under load it will smooth out, but at idle its bad. Slow down to come to a stop at a light and it dies sometimes. When idling, it sounds like it has a miss.
  3. Been working on the truck after work lately. I will update with pics later. I took the flares off, cut the front bumper, fenders, and bedsides. Currently welding the bedsides back to the inner fenders since I cut off the factory welds. Back to work, update later!
  4. Just changed the water pump and belt.
  5. Anybody ever complete this?
  6. Mine was leaking from everywhere. Lol. Also, we have some 17 and 18" jk wheels at the shop. I may get adapters and throw a set on the MJ.
  7. Tailgate still functions?
  8. Replaced this leaky piece of junk today. I'll post pics of the new one tomorrow.
  9. Gonna make a trip to orlando pick and pull junk yards 3 weeks from now I think. If nothing turns up there, I'll give them a call. AX15 would be worth the drive, maybe not the d30. They're pretty easy to come by.
  10. I also prefer a short bed, but mine is 100% rust free. I couldn't pass it up.
  11. Also looking for 94+ ax15 since it has the external slave.
  12. Oh yeah, for sure. I wouldn't buy an lp30.
  13. Welcome. I picked up an 88 long bed last week that I will be building.
  14. Couple pics of the xj I built to keep the thread interesting:
