  1. Mock up with cardboard and design your own....
  2. I reused mine. If/When I go a 8.8 Ford, I will definitely be buying new perches instead of reusing.
  3. Haha. You're going the same direction as mine...
  4. Think you could have broken the clutch fork? Best thing to do is probably get down under the car, with the parking brake on of course and the car off, and just have someone push the clutch over and over. Find the linkage and figure out if everything is moving as it should. If it is, I'd guess you're looking at something internal.
  5. A junkyard 6 cylinder from pull a part or the other local u-pull places around here are usually between 150-300. OF course, that's hoping it works and runs right...My dad always made the point to pull an engine from a vehicle that had been wrecked, preferably in the rear end, if he could get that lucky. Item Price core warranty ENGINE – COMPLETE (4 – CYL) $118.79 $20.00 $11.88 ENGINE – COMPLETE (6 – CYL) $129.79 $20.00 $12.98 ENGINE – COMPLETE (8 – CYL) $142.79 $20.00 $14.28 ENGINE BLOCK $68.79 $10.00 $6.88 This place is slightly cheaper than the other u-pull place. Just to give you an idea. Or find someone on CL parting one out that is rusted or something.
  6. Pretty much have the cab done, minus some touching up from where there was a peice of tape not pressed down all the way here or there....and a couple chips... The bottom rockers are different colors because the doros were painted after, and are clean. The others have sanding dust on them. the door handles are going to get resprayed black. I'll be working on the bed soon. The center caps also need the plastidip pealed off, but that will happen this weekend when I put the wheel bearings on. I also began mounting the limb risers. I have brackets, I have to get the cable and such to rig it up. I should be working on the bed by this weekend I hope!
  7. Nice. They're defiantly addicting!
  8. So all 5 speed tcase driveshafts are the same?
  9. There is a 87 at the junk yard. I was going to grab it. Sounds like it will be wrong style tough.
  10. How can you tell if it's an ax 15 vs. Other manuals?
  11. Id love to have this. So much potential
  12. I thought so. But I can do it again to make sure.
  13. Yea. I have yet to clean it properly. Could this cause it?
  14. So, I just picked up the wiring harness that runs parallel with the valve cover and idle went to normal. Any ideas?
  15. I thought I had this fixed. I had thought it was a vacuum leak. When I replaced the header, intake etc the problem ceased. Three times now I've gotten in the truck, after driving it, and experienced high idle around 1700 rpm. My first thought it tps. When I replaced the throttle body we were testing the tps, and would randomly get high voltage readings in one position of the tps lever. Would this cause a high idle? If not, any ideas? Thanks Mitch
  16. I'm sure you are, but make sure you are getting orings rated for fuel.
  17. Make sure you have the clips on good. Mine were loose and 2 injectors were leaking.
  18. Grabbed these the other day. From racoon crap on the floorboard to wads of salt and open honey mustard packets on the passanger side, these seats are very nice. One side cleaned Both sides cleaned. .. Water bucket
  19. yes. Downpipes changed in the early 90s
  20. Probably my favorite progress so far, along with the paint. Wade made me the replacement bracket for my missing one. So glad I went with him. Probaby would have taken me a couple days to get it made, he had it done the next day. Top notch quality. Perfect fit. Obviously have some touching up to do. Bumper looks and fits great.
  21. That's my long term goal. How much weight can the topper hold?
  22. That would make me nervous. I'd have to get the lock one...
  23. That would make sense. It has f150 springs and shackles. Then rancho shocks up front.
