  1. Well, I haven't had a chance to go to the JY and get a new thermostat housing to drill/tap for the CTS, but I did pull up a picture of the the side of the block from when I was putting my intake/exhaust on. IT looks like I have a spot where the CTS USED to be, but is not drilled/tapped/plugged. Am I mistaken?
  2. Yep...maybe less if he's going to cut you a deal. The 2WD thing kills it for me.
  3. I have only the header panel on mine. The panel is rounded on the top corner, where the original was square. Therefore, it doesn't line up prefect. Personally, I don't think it's enough to keep anyone from wanting to do it. Check out my project thread for pics http://comancheclub.com/topic/43285-project-katrina/
  4. Seems like I've heard allot of bent flex plate stories about Comanche. Might see if it's balanced well.
  5. Check the wiring on your CPS all the way around? Sounds like something is breaking down with heat. Does it do it at idle? Have you tried letting it sit and idle for awhile and see if it does the same thing? There aren't many sensors to test.
  6. Check the fuel pump resistor. With it sitting for 2 years, you may have junk that clogged up/burnt out your fuel pump. Get the pump coming on first, then worry about other stuff...
  7. I have a magnaflow knock off. I love it. All stainless and cost under $50
  8. I think he means 2 leaks.
  9. Check out the floor pans. Just a fyi. Even if they look fine. My carpet was wet, but I was lucky there was very little rust, and none that required welding. Looked great from above the carpet and below the cab. Catch it before its bad. With the 2.8 you're pretty limited. 2.8 is the same as a v6 camaro or fiero. Not alot you can mod on them. As for oil leaks...I have no.idea
  10. I'd get a new tank for sure. Don't know the difficulties of getting a different tank.
  11. Quoted for truth. I wish I had some
  12. What I did for mine was keep the faactory xj bracket on the driver's side (wanted to keep power seats) and drilled a hole and bolted the seat on the front left. Widened the hole on the front right. Rear right fit fine, rear left we cut a groove into the "channel" running down the middle of the floor (I have no carpet) and "slid" the head of a bolt in where the head was too large to come out of the groove. Works great. I was slightly concerned about safety. Then I thought about it...in a wreck bad enough to shear 4 grade 8 bolts held down that tightly...in a 88 truck w/o airbag, etc...thats going to be the least of my worries...
  13. I have the 4 hole neon injectors....they're on a 98 motor/88 renix wiring. Made a huge difference.
  14. Sweet. I live in Fairdale. Hope I see you around some time. Your Comanche is much nicer than mine!
  15. Ahh. He added more pictures. I thought it was a crank up style camper.
  16. Look in ebay.section.here. one up for sale. Kind of pricy though
  17. I'll see if I have mine still. If so ill sell them cheap enough
  18. http://lexington.craigslist.org/pts/4649522596.html Wish I had a long bed
  19. New tank is $100 on rock auto. Might be worth it.
  20. I already have the same thermostat housing. I'm planning to add a second sensor to the housing
  21. Post in the wanted section of the classifieds
  22. If you rant anything besides a 4.0 on your mj then sbc its probably the most, and only, reasonable swap. If you want more power go with something besides an mj...
  23. There is a conversion out there for the dana 30 one piece front axle vs. The two piece now. Is this what you mean?
