  1. Facebook?
  2. I wonder if you could just add a resistor in line to that sensor to fool it to turn the fans on at a cooler actual temperature?
  3. I'm normally a stock original fan but wow that truck looks badass lifted with big tires. Very nice!
  4. I haven't bought from Andy's but I'm not much of a fan of sites like that one. Personally I wouldn't be the guinea pig on that purchase due to shipping costs if they're wrong. Ask them for actual fitment and maybe even a photo before buying to see the actual brackets.
  5. If you want regional use craigslist ;) I prefer to buy from fellow CC members and there are no local members.
  6. Buy a newer truck. I have a newer half ton that can tow 10K lbs and there is no comparison. I'm not sure if it's safe even to tow 1,500 lbs with my MJ.
  7. Hornbrod, your seat pans are chrome now aren't they? LOL
  8. I got a set of 97-01 XJ door seals from the junkyard in near new condition. They were like a tenth of that cost. I haven't installed them yet though LOL You could probably find generic door seal in a bulk roll that would be cheaper also (if you get the correct profile).
  9. Wow  . :MJ 1: . :laughin:
  10. I would try this but I can see daylight through my door seals LOL I have bigger wind noise issues to tackle first :)
  11. Jesus H. Christ that is an amazing MJ! Wow, stunning! How did you get the tachometer cut out so nicely for the PRNDL indicator? I have a full gauge set to install but I'm not totally sure how to cut it and get it looking clean/factory.
  12. I've restored my lights using lens polish and had a NOS one for a while... up close NOS is very noticeable, mainly in the clear reverse part. The red stuff all polishes up nice so yeah not necessarily worth the $$ unless you're doing a full resto.
  13. If it inspires you, you can always get creative with something like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DU4F6WA/
  14. I put one in my 2WD Ranger. It was expensive but helped me get around (with sandbags in the bed), I'd say they work.
  15. Why do you have a new pipe? The old one will flow better. It might be brown but it's in pretty good shape from the pics you posted.
  16. Renting the rug doctor machines around here is about $25-30/day. The can of stuff I had was basically free (had it laying around). Yeah when I was blotting the dirtyness up I realized it really was just dispersing the dirt :) My earlier plan was to remove the seat covers but I cannot get one of the headrests off, so I got lazy LOL. I'd like to fix those two holes in the seat bottom and maybe replace the cushion on the bottom so if I do have it apart I will probably just put it in the laundry with some OxyClean, I hear that works wonders.
  17. I cleaned the C101 on my 88, it helped a ton. I had a random non-starting issue and it was all full of black gunk like that pic shows. It's something every Renix owner should do without question.
  18. Much better :) I prefer the bench seat over buckets so why not make it look a little better?
  19. The 97+ XJ mirrrors are far superior in terms of function but they just don't look good on our boxy trucks.
  20. Full resto on mine or just buy a 92 red Elim 4x4 w/5spd. I'm more into resto than modding.
  21. Replicas of factory rear bumper.
  22. And they didn't remove the flares or bodyside moldings for the repaint. Looks good though, my truck is jealous LOL
  23. If the shocks are original, you should absolutely replace them. The Bilstein 5100s are waaaaay too stiff for factory suspension IMHO. Had them on my 88 and hated them. I have a new set of cheapo Monroes to put on my 91. I have a set of these in the box: Monroe 31094.
  24. Just an FYI I know NAPA has been mentioned hundreds of times as being the place to get these hoses. I just want to clarify that Dorman makes the hoses (or resells them also), so if you need to buy new you might get them cheaper on Amazon. I bought the Dorman sets (two different sets are needed for Renix). Dorman 46004 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000630DJO/ Dorman 46003 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000630DJ4/
  25. My point is I feel POR15 is used in a lot of cases where it isn't necessary. It's more money and a lot more work than regular painting or spraying oil-based rustproofing products if the rust is only very minor surface rust. I've had good success on minor surface rust (e.g. undercarriage, etc.) with KL-73 (a.k.a. Krown T40) and Fluid Film. They are both great choices if you have very minor rust. Using POR15 on those cases is like using a backhoe to get rid of an anthill. p.s. Undercoating is not the same as rustproofing. Over time undercoating can actually trap moisture and cause more rust than if you hadn't used it. Then one day some of it chips off and you're left wondering why it's all rusty underneath...
