  1. Jeep decided that it doesn't want to run with the map sensor vac line connected , if I unplug it , it runs and doesn't stall , it doesn't have a fuel smell and doesn't blow out smoke like it normally would with the map vac line disconnected , if I plug it in it runs for 2-3 secs and it stalls . If I try to give it throttle it backfires from the intake and then stalls , I tried replacing the map sensor and it still did the same thing , I'm lost anybody know what it could be ?
  2. If it goes to defrost randomly then you might have a intermittent vacuum problem since the defrost is the default setting and I could be wrong (correct me if I'm wrong ) but if you have a vacuum leak then it will default to defrost since the controls are vacuum actuated .
  3. It could be your brake booster going bad .
  4. got any pics of her ?
  5. Oh alright I see thanks for the responses guys , I appreciate it :)
  6. here's a pic of it on the lift
  7. How much flex is normal , I'm getting some new tires installed and while the mj was in the air the passenger door was hard but not impossible to open/close , should I be concerned or is it normal ? It's stock ride height and has no rust/cancer anywhere .
  8. You won't be disappointed, I was getting horrible mpg and the jeep was running rough , new ntk sensor installed a week ago and wow it's a big difference in mpg for me , I'm happy with the purchase
  9. I bought a napa fuel pump that said it was a replacement for vehicles equipped with the bosh , it said carter on the pump iirc , mines came with the adapter and all and fit with no issues and has giving me no issues in the 8-9 months it's been installed and ran .
  10. I also ordered a new cat , fuel tank lock ring , and walker sound fx muffler from summit racing and I also ordered a new ntk O2 sensor from Rockauto , awaiting to receive the muffler and O2 sensor in the mail .
  11. Then later on my lower rad hose blew and this happened So I got all new hoses on the jeep and the lower installed with the spring Decided to go ahead and replace the water pump Later I got some Comanche buckets and Bolted those in , drivers side is torn a bit and won't fold but I'll fix it later on and get the seat re done .
  12. Some updates After some rough times stuff things got better and I'm doing progress on the jeep again , I found a rear uhaul hitch and bolted that in . And later on I finally got some new tires and wheels
  13. Wow that's genius! I'll give that a try

  16. That sucks man but good thing is that you could easily find a bumper for a jk :) , finding a straight bumper for a mj is tougher but I'm going to speak to a body guy and ask if he can can repair it

  18. It was dark out and I was backing up and didn't see a pole (back up lights not working ) :( this hurt my heart , it used to be a straight bumper .
  19. An exhaust restriction maybe ? And fuel pump is a good idea too :)
  20. 86-90 Mjs are cable driven and 91-92 are electronic , if the gauge cluster is a blue plastic like in the picture above , then that's a cable driven renix era cluster , whote plastic will be a high output era cluster 91-96
  21. On mines it doesn't but on a panic stop or when I brake hard they do
  22. Thought it was a April fools joke but then I remembered its not even April :(
