this picture has been on the truck training departments door at work for along time!
actually, in the past, I used to work for the company that makes THAT style dump body too! WOTCO/Westech in Casper/Mills, Wyoming
Got most of everything done yesterday.
Still have to bleed the new slave, and find a dang leaf spring for this truck.. Also gotta get one new tire, make sure everything is going to work, fluid change and I should be plowing!
I have never been a fan of GM cars. Finally got rid of the POS 04 Grand AM SHE had in the driveway.
Traded it in for a 04 Jeep Liberty. I would look into a 98-01 XJ. You can get a extremely nice one for 5gs. But you can also pay half or a quarter of that and still have nice one that may need a little :wrench:
Sweet. Working on this tomorrow.
I got some fabbing to do to get the x-member back into this pile of rust but will not get that far tomorrow. Hopefully get the new clutch in and the trans back in tomorrow. :wrench:
I bring everything but my jeeps into a oil change place.
My 08 CTD is a huge :fs1: to change the oil on. At least removing the filter is a big PITA. Fuel filter even more of a PITA. My 01 Cummins was simple..
The newest addition is a 04 Liberty; that will be brought in..
I'm going to take a gamble and order a new clutch and slave cylinder for this jeep. If it don't work, I'm done with this thing. :rotf:

Ordered the whole kit.

Sorry I missed your last post.
Well i finally got time to pull this thing apart to see whats happening. I picked up a cheap trans jack from Harbor freight which made removal of the trans/t-case easy. I had some problems with the bolts on the front driveshaft on the t-case side. I'm thinking someone put red locktight on them. Anyway, I got everything removed tonight to have a looksee.
Learning as I go with my book handy... :wrench:
Here is what the clutch disc looks like:
Fins look wore also:
To me everything looks wore out but obviously I will not know the difference till I get new parts. What do you guys think?
Also I had to cut the hydro line for the internal slave. The fitting was rusted too bad to pull it apart. Ill have to most likely replace the whole internal slave cylinder assembly. I'm I correct that the "bleeder" is on the passenger side of the bellhousing?

CRAWL- I actually made Crawl mag last year in the "Land Use" section.

Four Wheeler
In that order for me. I can't stand 'offroad' magazine and 4 wheel drive needs better editing. Drive me nuts when I'm reading a article and things just don't ad up. Stupid things like in the article it says the Jeep has 37 inch tires and a 350 V8 but on the spec bar it says 40s and 572. Catch my drift?
