  1. To my knowledge the only replacement wiring would be used wiring from a junkyard.
  2. Your comanche should be parked in a climate controlled garage right now!! If you cannot figure out whats going on, I have a different cluster or two that you could try.
  3. "North shore of Lake Superior" What town?
  4. Auto for wheeling unless you got 4:1 t-case gears, which makes it pretty easy to drive without restarting the jeep 12 times a hour. I like manuals for everything else. Granted I only have one truck thats running and driving with a manual trans currently. She will not drive it with a manual  Wish my 08 CTD was a manual trans...

Replaced ignition switch and starter. The OE starter was junk, and as it turns out the BRAND NEW one from the auto parts store was also junk! Project will commence Thursday, my next day off, but I have heard it turn over. :clapping:

  7. pictured is a chilton, those make better kindling then a Haynes!
  8. I drive a 793 Caterpillar Mine truck in a steel mine. The company is US Steel, and we are just a small part of the huge company. Tires are 12' tall, seat in cab is around 14-15' off the ground, empty weight is 240 ton. Haul 240-270 tons of rock every load. Fully loaded truck weight is 850,000 lbs. We work 12 hour shifts (nite and day shifts), 14 days a month. Drive around 140 miles a shift. here's a vid for perspective. (no I'm not driving lol)

Nice truck. Got any trail pics?
  12. You missed 5 days in 7 months  I wouldnt have a job either... I have missed a total of 3 days since I been employed. So 9 years, I have missed 3 days of squeduled working days. One was a car accident and the other was bad tarter sauce at a fish fry, (2 days deathly sick).
  13. Scrapper buddy of mine picked up a 96 ZJ with a V8 last week. Tranny was out of it. I pulled what I thought I might use one day from it and while pilfering threw the P.O. junk I glaced down to see 314k on the odometer. Course I didnt take a picture.
  14. I remember riding in my uncles new Red comanche. Ever since then, its been jeeps. I nissan car (POS), a Ford pickup with a 300-6 (which i liked), and a couple diesel (cummins) thrown in, but ive always had at least one running, driving Jeep since I was 14. Currently holding steady at 4 MJs and 2 XJs...
  15. I drove a 97 SE a few years ago. The owners wanted 500 dollars more for it then I had in my pocket. Probably a good thing. Last year I drove my Jeep Club President's 97 TJ on 35s offroad. Heckeva different ballgame then wheeling a XJ.

  21. Have you ever made this mistake? It doesnt "leak," it gushes! I remember doing this (forgetting to check the oil filter for the gasket) to my shop instructors car in 7th grade. Not a pretty sight. One of those mistake you ONLY DO ONCE!

    Gas prices

Gas around 3.25 Diesel was 4.24 last time I fueled up :wall:
  23. oil filter adapter There are "O" rings in their that can be replaced to stop the oil leakage. Dealer charges less then 10 bucks for IIRC 3 "O" rings.
