  1. If I'm still working then, I'll be ordering one!
  2. ??? Ratios: 1st = 4.01 2nd = 2.32 3rd = 1.40 4th = 1.00 5th = 0.78 R =3.55 5th gear is less overdrive than the AX-15, which is 0.72. You are correct. It has less overdrive than the Jeep 6 speed (NSG370). However the six speed has a lower first gear. I considered swapping to the six speed at one time, but to take full advantage of it I would have also had to switch to 4.10 gears. In the end the juice wasn't worth the squeeze even though I could have got the 6 speed for basically nothing. I like the idea of a 6-speed. The crank sensor seems to be the biggest hurdle though...
  3. Rotella and WIX......echoooooooo...... Ha
  4. I have the Hell Creek springs. After they finally broke in, (took awhile hauling around sand bags) my only complaint is the finish on them. I had to pull them apart and put good paint on them. I used Iron Rock Offroad coils and Bilstein shocks.
  5. Quadratec mats are the way to go for a Jeep. Weather Techs for everything else.
  6. Keep the Renix. Find a different harness to swap in if the wiring bothers you..... Ax-15 or nv3550 -or- nsg370. JP mag did one awhile back. That would be badass for a play toy.
  7. I have a cable shifter on my MJ and I bought because I didn't have the brackets. It's awesome. Mine was a PITA to install but after I got it adjusted correctly, it shifts like butter.
  8. Mopar gaskets do NOT come with grommets. Ask me how I know. Felpro it is for all gaskets in the future!
  9. I second that. I would also plan 2 days. First day pull axle and pan off. Then let the dang thing drip overnight. Then finish the project the next day.
  10. If that one is shorter then the one you have, most likely yes. I have Hirst Short throw shifter that's wrangler height in my MJ. I like it that way but to each their own.
  11. Whoa...! I had heard-tell that Hell Creek was no more...but, they do in fact still have a website and a kit for the MJ...sweet! I remember hearing good things about these guys....true? Thanks~~ They had some trouble in the last few years and I believe they did close their doors for a bit. Call them up. The main jammer is a member here.
  12. HO 4.0 with a 5-speed and 33s? You'll be just fine. Rocky Road hasn't got the best reviews, along with Rustys. I'd look into Hell Creek Suspensions.
  13. He bought it from me. I didn't have any trouble ordering it. I think it was Pirate though.
  14. Nice truck. Love me a white MJ. Could you post some more pics of you trailer setup? Must have some nice roads where you come from. If I strapped a truck down buy the bumpers up here, the straps, chains whatever would be broke in 5 miles.
  15. Gotta take care of #1....
  16. 3 wipers! I get a kick out of that.
  17. Hope all goes well! Heck you could walk to work!
  18. And I bought a reman this summer all while having a ZJ box on the floor of the garage.
  19. Ripping the steering box out of my XJ. Sucks big time. Mile back on a nasty trail. 36" iroks on beadlocks with 4 lbs of air. Not fun.
  20. Didn't happen to have a picture of the flywheel you installed....? Did you compare it to the old one? When I did my nv3550 swap in my MJ, I bought all the clutch stuff and flywheel for a 97 XJ. I was in the same place as you as the truck would not run. So I been there. Frustrating as hell.
  21. LMAO!!
  22. kinda looks like one of the rarer XJ colors: That's rescue green too. That color was first available on the JK in 07.
  23. No need to worry about flaming here.
  24. How about WK2 wheels on a MJ?
