Started to install new hella headlights and fog lights. First job at hand was ripping out the old Putco harness which had terrible relays. When I tore it all apart I decided to paint the headlight buckets and freshen up a few things before reinstalling. My son and daughter help me with the disassembly, and then I started wiring. I also noticed I was missing a horn on the passenger side so I need the bracket and a new horn for that site. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

I retested and took a look around again and noticed there is enough adjustment and the TPS sensor itself, but the janky Hesco adapter kit renix sensor is the problem. The roll pin used for moving the TPS arm simply isn't positioned exactly correctly. It looks like I will need to add a small spacer or a cover over the roll pan to make it slightly larger to read the proper voltage. Other than that, what else should I look for regarding the idle? I thought this was the highest I could get it, I will double check tomorrow. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

My truck starts and idles fairly well, but the idle goes up and down about 200rpm at times. It is way more noticeable in the winter then it is when it's warm. It is very annoying running outside when I can hear the idle go up and down the whole time the remote start is running. I have check the TPS voltage and I cannot get the 17% like the FSM recommends. I have went through the engine harness and modified all the grounds and did the cruiser tips that I can recall. The TPS is new and I have a wideband O2 sensor. What should I be doing to determine why the idle fluctuates? This is my measurement of the static voltage on the TPS and as far as I can adjust it I cannot get the results mention Cruisers tips. I have a Snap-On scanner for the renix oh, but I don't know if it's coolant temperature or IAC problem or some sort. I can wiggle the harness and the ground is good for the sensors and the idle does not change I checked the bolts for my header and intake and they are all tight with no apparent leak. The vacuum seems to be normal, but I'm sure it will fluctuate with the idle as well. I have a good friend that I would like to take the truck to to diagnose it, but in this case it is not possible at this time obviously. What else can I check until then? Miss my Xj now thanks. So clean work, it's nice to start on a clean sheet of paper instead of a rusty old worn-out one as well. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

I would like a Cherokee or Comanche front door renix era that I could use for mock-up for a set of six and a half inch speakers. Ideally it would be nice if I had the stock door panel as well. It doesn't matter which color but just an 86 through 92 Comanche or Cherokee would suffice. I live in Midland Michigan so local of course would be ideal. If anyone knows a junkyard or some place that I can get one locally that would be excellent too! I don't really want to spend $100 on a door just a mock-up a set of speakers to save me time though. Bought a remote start because I didn't like the external relays on my old one. I wanted keyless entry again plus domelight supervision. After installing 90% of it I noticed the unit I have doesn't have this option. [emoji34] the ebay post said it did and my remotes aren't the same as the pictures either. Waste... so now I need to buy a $29 timer relay for a $68 viper remote start! Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

I plan on doing a front end refresh soon. I have been collecting parts such as hella e code headlights again Susquehanna Motorsports relay wire harness hella driving lights and dedicated wire harness to freshen up the front end. Can anyone else verify that my pictures are working from the first page of my thread or older than one month ago? Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

This is outstanding! This is what I envision if I wouldn't have gone the cheap route and wanted an oem look. Fantastic work and I love to see all the information about wiring modules xcetera. -

I have been wanting to make a video in the DIY section for a while now. The Dorman 3157 replacement sockets are far superior to the 1157 type bulb. No more removing replacing adjusting and replacing sockets from now on for me! The Dorman 85881 is a replacement socket that holds a 3157 bulb. I replaced the sockets on my 87 Comanche with these and work Wonderful! They fit perfectly and do not interfere even though there are a 90-degree design. They will work for the front and the rear and you won't have any more of the typical problems of the bulb not seating correctly. The last picture is a reference of the original 1157 socket type. I wish there was an easier way to go through my thread and substitute the pictures. That seems like a daunting task. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

After three sizes I ran a 8mm/1.25 tap through the holes. I bought a nos bracket and some SS cap screws and sanded and painted them. I enlarged the holes for the new bolts and bolted it in with the old pin. My awesome project garage cat Loki looking on. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Ok been a long time, just downloaded all my photobucket pictures now just need to painstakingly host them all on another site. I finally fixed my door check bracket on the driver's side. The bolts broke and I didn't want to take the door off so I bought these sharp stubby hex drill bits and started the job. I got out my trusty Milwaukee 90 degree drill driver and drilled the old bolts out. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
