  1. throwing money in the d35 is a waste, see if you can get either an 8.25, d44 or 8.8. As for the the lift I just did a 5.5inch lift following Alexia's you'll have to find deals on the drop brackets and a few of the other parts, Right now the drop brackets are on sale on Amazon for 173$
  2. I went with the 2014 rubicon rims myself, they're 5x5, 17in rims. and look awesome with some 265/75/17r I believe is what I have.
  3. I converted my MJ to Manual and love it, but I agree stop and go traffic sucks.
  4. Ahh, you're getting the whole truck, ok that sounds like a deal, Maybe an AWD comanche then, make a build thread :D
  5. I'd almost just look into a 318, imagine it'll be less headache, can mount to the jeep transmissions fairly easy, and its mopar :D, granted the only ford motor I like is the 351w. Regardless it'll be a bad @$$ truck when you're done.
  6. I've got the Boostwerks shifting linkage in my 89 comanche and it's amazing, super easy shifting, durable parts, cost effective, and above all easy to install.
  7. from the looks of it, it looks like WJ steering, and from what I've heard it even without the stabilizer its pretty nice.
  8. Hopefully see you at the No Road Required show this year, imagine it'll be a beast by then!
  9. Excellent color, Excellent wrap! Nice job and great looking truck :)
  10. Well, let me know, its a standard MJ width axle correct? having a 44 would be better than the 8.25 I'm working on, mainly for aftermarket support.
  11. nice job, love the color, I was just debating going blue myself.. and in my experience every ax15 I've had has a sort of whine in reverse, not sure if its the same one but who knows.
  12. Good to see you're here Farren, Now get that new front clip in and installed.
  13. Just emailed RE and the sway links are only 6" long :( a bit to short for my needs
  14. Been spreading the word about your shop to the local jeep community, hope to drum you up some business! I'd also like to come get some tube bent from you. to make a roof rack, and bed rack eventually. after I finish spending money on my lift/brake/steering/axle/98 cherokee swap finished.. hey already up 3-4 likes :P
  15. How long are the re sway bar links?
  16. IRO, is currently having a sale on bilstein 5100's I just got 4 for 259, you'll have to email Kolak@aol.com though, but I recommend getting them before its to late.
  17. nice manche, I'm just south of you in hillsboro, should start doing some comanche work here real soon myself
  18. Love having all your pictures for references, I just picked up a 98xj and hope to start the full swap here in the spring!
  19. Found the guy who did it before, if you change your renix to a fusebox it is not going to be easy... Its a huge wire mess. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f22/my-88-comanche-886068/index27.html Thats the page, and if you start at the beginning you'll see just one of the most amazing MJ transformations. Everything under my hood was changed out, Bought a 91 cherokee, and transferred everything I could, I much prefer my fuse box than the Crows nest!
  20. I converted it to a fuse box, but I upgraded everything to a HO engine, harness, interior etc. I have seen someone change them all over to a fusebox in a build thread I'll see if I can find it again.
  21. Ah yes, I forgot the Meat section! 1989 MJ 1991 4.0 1996 Ax-15 1989 Np231
  22. So I've got some throttle body/intake back firing from my 4.0 and I can't figure out what it is, when you give it gas it kind of stumbles and back fires through the intake. Whats new Fuel pump, injectors, TPS, MAP, O2, Coolant Temp Sensor, Distributor, Plugs, Wires.
  23. I used a magnaflow super 40 I think is what I went, and it sounds amazing on my MJ, 4.0 HO, I highly recommend them, I went with the center inlet and offset out, had a shop weld and install it up. Edit, oh wait different companies, I went with a Flowmaster, super 40. Still sounds amazing :D
