  1. It may not be cheap, but the convenience of not having to drop the tranny for the slave is amazing and well worth it.
  2. My guidance would be since you have the transmission out already convert it to an external setup
  3. I also have an old input shaft I don't need anymore, I changed my 231 from a 89 to a 96 to match my tranny. let me know if you need it
  4. also I found out with a brand new exhaust system myself that you will have an extremely strong smell until it burns off the metal coating
  5. you need to know everything. If you're looking for a parts list you'll need a 4wd AW4, np231/np242, new driveshaft 4wd is shorter, front driveshaft, front 4wd axle, gear box shifter.
  6. Thanks, I just did the same. Seems to be the best option for the stock (low compression) motor. Thanks again! They're not low compression motors........ Lower than compared to my BMW i6 :P although I wouldn't exactly say the jeep motor is a high compression motor either.
  7. Mean Green Starters are pretty nice from what I've heard, but they're like 300$
  8. Lund hasn't made visors for cherokee's or comanche for a while now, your best bets on finding one is getting lucky at a junk yard, or ebay. They have some Cherokee visors on Ebay from Poland I think it was, not terrible price but shipping was close to doubling the overall price.
  9. I used Neon injectors in my HO 4.0, but if cruiser says volvo then I'd go volvo
  10. Especially when their rig runs like crap and they haven't addressed that very well so far. My rig runs like crap and I need to mess with it's wheels!!!! haha, I often do something similar, I fix the problem at hand but dream of the other things I'd like to do to it :P
  11. Bought parts for my manche today, Got a 96 XJ brake booster, 99 WJ knuckles, Cup holders, etc. I love 50% off parts at pick n pull.
  12. You'll have to make a custom harness to connect the HO front harness to the MJ rear harness, Its actually super easy.
  13. Although, if you could plumb the dishwasher to pull from a tank of hot solvent it could work pretty decently, just bottom rack everything :P just make sure everything is non-flammable.

    Welders

110 can typically weld up to 3/16, anything thicker you'll need more juice aka 220. We just bought a millermatic 220? I think it is. which has plugs for 110 and 220, will weld up to 1/4 easily. Welding with it is a dream too, I enjoy welding with it a lot.
  15. Replaced the track bar bushing, replaced the collapsed front shock, drove it for the first time, changed the coolant temp sensor so my gauges work, remounted the new MAP sensor. And things I'll do today are. clean the interior, install the final pieces, remove the LCA from my parts jeep, and use them on my Comanche, one of mine is pretty dinged up. And possibly a trip to the Pick and Pull
  16. First fill up today! was only 14 gallons.
  17. 5 gallons, my baby isn't up and running yet :P
  18. still a great looking jeep you've got there!
  19. First things are first, need to check for spark from the Coil, and need to check your fuel lines for fuel. If you're not getting spark from the Coil, its most likely a CPS. Also I would do all of Cruisers Renix tricks to bring it up to speed, make sure everything is grounded properly and all the problem area's are resolved.
  20. Ax15 will do just fine up to 300ftlbs, I'm sure even in any gear it will hold up just fine
  21. the OM617a from a Turbo mercedes is a pretty viable swap I think, and there are even adapter plates out there for the ax15/aw4, little engine can be turned up to 180 hp stock
  22. I swapped transmissions, 89 was aw4 switched to ax15 so I believe it has 3.55s
  23. I'm hoping my 3.55's will be fine for 32-33's and my ax15. :x
  24. purchased! Looks simple compared to the old linkage setup!
  25. Fuel pressure was spot on, checked it when my engine wasn't starting, I've got a new MAP sensor that should be arriving today, hoping that will fix it. if not I'll also be replacing the TPS, But the good news is every pretty much all the sensors on this jeep will be brand new! lol
