throwing money in the d35 is a waste, see if you can get either an 8.25, d44 or 8.8. As for the the lift I just did a 5.5inch lift following Alexia's you'll have to find deals on the drop brackets and a few of the other parts, Right now the drop brackets are on sale on Amazon for 173$

I went with the 2014 rubicon rims myself, they're 5x5, 17in rims. and look awesome with some 265/75/17r I believe is what I have. -

I'd almost just look into a 318, imagine it'll be less headache, can mount to the jeep transmissions fairly easy, and its mopar :D, granted the only ford motor I like is the 351w. Regardless it'll be a bad @$$ truck when you're done. -
I've got the Boostwerks shifting linkage in my 89 comanche and it's amazing, super easy shifting, durable parts, cost effective, and above all easy to install.

Well, let me know, its a standard MJ width axle correct? having a 44 would be better than the 8.25 I'm working on, mainly for aftermarket support.- 798 replies

nice job, love the color, I was just debating going blue myself.. and in my experience every ax15 I've had has a sort of whine in reverse, not sure if its the same one but who knows.

Solution for fusible link mess on renix jeeps?
Mattwheels replied to big66440's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Found the guy who did it before, if you change your renix to a fusebox it is not going to be easy... Its a huge wire mess. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f22/my-88-comanche-886068/index27.html Thats the page, and if you start at the beginning you'll see just one of the most amazing MJ transformations. Everything under my hood was changed out, Bought a 91 cherokee, and transferred everything I could, I much prefer my fuse box than the Crows nest! -
Solution for fusible link mess on renix jeeps?
Mattwheels replied to big66440's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I converted it to a fuse box, but I upgraded everything to a HO engine, harness, interior etc. I have seen someone change them all over to a fusebox in a build thread I'll see if I can find it again. -
Throttlebody/Intake Backfiring
Mattwheels replied to Mattwheels's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Ah yes, I forgot the Meat section! 1989 MJ 1991 4.0 1996 Ax-15 1989 Np231 -
So I've got some throttle body/intake back firing from my 4.0 and I can't figure out what it is, when you give it gas it kind of stumbles and back fires through the intake. Whats new Fuel pump, injectors, TPS, MAP, O2, Coolant Temp Sensor, Distributor, Plugs, Wires.

I used a magnaflow super 40 I think is what I went, and it sounds amazing on my MJ, 4.0 HO, I highly recommend them, I went with the center inlet and offset out, had a shop weld and install it up. Edit, oh wait different companies, I went with a Flowmaster, super 40. Still sounds amazing :D
