  1. I've got a couple clean boat anchors out back ( 35s ) that I'll sell you one or two out of after you find out what you have .
  2. What axle do you have?
  3. When I go to shows I always take my dd Comanche also and it has a real full-size spare in the bed of the truck along with all of my tools, floor jack, fluids etc . Eagle , and everyone else that contributed to this post I appreciate all the help and advice . Does anyone have any pics of an original setup under there mj ?
  4. A small flat head screw driver between the cap and rotor and twist it off . If it still won't move hit the screw driver lightly with a hammer .
  5. Sorry Eagle I screwed your post up .whoops !!!
  6. I believe it was the Wranglers (base models, with steel wheels) that came with a full-size, limited duty spare. Since it was never available on the XJ or MJ, since you want to keep your truck stock (which, BTW, I applaud) it doesn't make sense to install one of these abominations. The MJ always had a full-size spare matching the tires that came on the truck. Those light-duty spares, FWIW, are the same construction as the donuts, and are limited to 50 miles maximum at no more than 50 MPH. I wouldn't want one of those as my spare even for a trip to the supermarket. Oh ok. I was under the impression that it was either the compact spare or the limited duty tire as you put it if you wanted a full size spare. And as you stated I also would never use either spare tire . It's more like I want to make it factory correct as possible besides the rims and exhaust . I have the correct lights , floor mats .... And it keeps me occupied and out of trouble lol.
  7. I forgot to mention that this truck doesn't get driven very much . I take it to shows and only drive it on nice , sunny days . This is more of any appearance thing than a functional one . I have a complete extra set of rims and tires for real spares . And Bootsand trucks I'm in Ohio .
  8. I remember there being a full size spare tire for certain jeeps . It was not a donut tire but a full size temporary spare mounted on a factory steel jeep rim . It was held up by the spare tire carrier . I'm trying to keep my truck as stock as possible in certain areas . Does anyone have any pics info on this ? Or does anyone have one that I can purchase ? Thanks in advance
  9. The black peice is the cap . The other white peice looks like a low coolant sensor . Never seen one of those in the coolant tank . Do you have the info center where the clock goes? Or is your low coolant light on?
  10. I doubt the guage isn't working because of the belt routing . The engine is still turning the pump in the same direction as you pointed out. Therefore the water is still getting circulated and the engine is getting warm so the guage should still read . Did you put any Teflon tape on the threads of the sensor ?
  11. Highly doubt it , never seen anything like it . If you wanted to tow more than what the bumper was capable of you would buy a hitch . Looks like a home brewed job .
  12. On the closed system you're only supposed to fill the overflow bottle about half way when cold . If your cap still leaks cruiser54 preaches about a Volvo cap that can be used .
  13. If you still have the old seals you can cross reference the part numbers that are stamped in the seal to find the correct part numbers . If you give me the numbers I'll cross them for you.
  14. The bumper looks original except for the plated areas welded at the very front lower of the bumper and the lower of the bumper brackets and the peices going at an angle towards the end of the bumper. Maybe for reinforcement of the bumper to tow?
  15. Wish I could tell you . Could be tomorrow , next month, year ... I thought I'd be better weeks ago , unfortunately it's rather unpredictable ?? Sorry
  16. If you can wait I'm going to make one for my dd .. If I order double the parts I can send you just the parts + shipping or make you one ? Let me know . I'm still held up with my back so it will be a bit...
  17. I think the " metric ton" badge was only put on the trucks in 87 or 88 . My guess is that is just for the command trac or select trac
  18. What size socket did you use to take the valve cover bolt out?
  19. I known him for personally about 17 years, went to school with him ,before he was "famous". Yeah he's got a few issues lol. Bar stools , strip clubs , rehab centers , domestic abuse ..... Lol
  20. I live close enough to Cleveland (Youngstown ) and frankly I'm sick of hearing about Lebron allready also. The same people that hated him when he left Cleveland are praising him now . Truthfully I don't care about him , he makes millions of dollars a year for something he likes to do and I have to go to work everyday and get paid peanuts for something I hate to do!!
  21. Two things : 1. They have size limitations and it's a very good possibility it will get damaged. 2. I used greyhound to send a rollbar to Yuma AZ from Ohio 4weeks ago ,as of tue it's lost in Texas !!!! I will never use them again .
  22. Are the axles equal length ? Never had them out of my 8.25 . Just grab a drivers side if there equal and in good shape .
  23. Looks to be a direct bolt on? I get everything at cost at the parts store I worked at so this might be my next project. thanks
  24. Cool thanks , I just don't want to have any problems in the winter time when I'm at my friends cabin with 2feet of snow in the middle of the night . Hornbrod what alternator are you using ?
