  1. No but they are all clean and the drivetrain only has 96 k on it .
  2. I wonder if someone upgraded the steering box to a quicker ratio. I'm not sure how to find out what ratio you have but it's worth a shot .
  3. I'm having issues with my dd 89 mj that I recently upgraded to a 95 xj driveline ( 4.0 aw4 np242 ). Even before I did the swap it read low 13's in voltage with no headlights or a/c on . If I put the a/c on, or the headlights , or the electric cooling fan comes on it dives into the high 11's or low 12's . I also confirmed the guage was correct with a charging system tester at orielys .When I did the swap I refreshed / added new grounds where needed . It's a new alternator and I know the voltage is controlled by the computer in that year . Any other things I should do to try to fix this issue? I want to wire up some lights but want to address this issue first . As always any and all help is much appreciated . Thanks
  4. You're welcome it took me awhile to find mine .
  5. Mopar part # is 55007817. Been discontinued though . Maybe you'll find nos ones somewhere .
  6. I allready had one in mine , seen that one at the yard and was in a rush and said I'll get it next time . Went back and it's gone , my luck . I wish I could get every cool / rare item but oh well.
  7. There's an older mechanic at the local jeep dealer that hoards all the old specialty tools . I can see If he has one . Have you checked with the motorhomes place out west? I know automan knows the name.
  8. Get the blue permadry felpro gasket it's more money than the standard gasket but seals so much better .
  9. The front looks like a dana30 to me. If they both were 44s the diffs would look the same
  10. I know there's one at the local jy . Pm me if interested .
  11. Thanks for all the info looks like I'll try to draw them out with the large sockets and bolts . If that doesn't work it looks like plan B and out comes the drill!! Thanks for all the help .
  12. I was getting a clunking noise under the front end every time I went from drive to reverse . Between the uca's and the bushings I'm gonna change them both . What do you guys use the change the bushings in the housing ?? I was thinking of using a ball joint press but having enough room to use it seems like it would be a problem . I'm laid up for a bit with a bad back but just trying to get the right tool(s). Thanks for any and all help in advance .
  13. If it's the original cable the part number will be stamped on the cable before it goes in the firewall
  14. I know it's been discussed before but I don't feel a steering stabilizer is a bandage . They where on the truck from day one . Granted I wouldn't think the triple hd setup is what you need . It's like not having sway bar links , you can drive the truck but have someone pull out in front of you and you'll wish you had them . I'd say since you've gone overmostly everything put a stabilizer on it and go from there .
  15. Best thing to do is to take the measurements after everything is bolted in . The place where you have the ds shortened will tell you how you should measure for length . I'd be nervous that two trucks could have different length shafts due to the tcase length .
  16. Currently 2 but have had 8 in my lifetime though. Also have an 01 wj a 99xj and had an 86 xj 2 door with a 3.4 conversion
  17. They've been on eBay a while
  18. Are you certain the fuel tester is working properly? Do you have another vehicle you can use the tester on ? The reason I say that is I went to my local oreilys and rented one and it was not reading correctly. You also said that it's running" very very very rich" . If you unhook the MAP sensor when it's "running" do you notice any change ? Mine blew the MAP hose connection off at the throttle body and gave all the symptoms you're describing . You can also try bypassing the two wires on the white ballast resistor on the drivers side inner fender beside the airbox to see if that changes the fuel pressure reading .
  19. Wrong way to try to get frequent flyer miles .
  20. Was there any tags on the rear diff covers? That's one indicator and there should be numbers stamped in the ring gear ( large gear ) to also indicate a gear ratio.
  21. I know the newer lock cylinders are different . There either bigger or smaller I can't remember . But if the holes are too small you can file the hole to fit the cylinders .
  22. Nice lol
  23. All I can say is WOW.
  24. That took some engineering . I like it .
