  1. its late, sorry.
  2. 43" center of u-joint - center of u-joint maybe 1/4" off either way but I'm pretty sure its spot on 43
  3. good point, thats why you run super weak axles and no cage... don't you know anything?
  4. long bed or shortbed, i can measure my sb i6 4x4 5spd d35 shaft if you need.
  5. don't we want low COG? :D
  6. yeah thats what i was tryin to say earlier. i know the pinion on a d44 is 1" longer than a d35 but i don't know if they used the same d/s anyways.
  7. actually to remove it without breakin anything i think you have to pop that thing out cause there is a screw holdin it under there on my truck :dunno:
  8. god i wish i had a lift. you're lucky as hell man. that looks awesome man, bad jeep ya got there. is that the thermomatic winch? puppy musta set you back some $ eh?
  9. nah same thing, just punch the little chap-stick holder out and insert your 4x4 selector panel thing
  10. :rotfl2: i thought ours was the only one that blew out a good 2-3 bulbs on any given night of wrenching :laughin: that was hilarious man, thanks.
  11. put the XJ buckets and long-console in the MJ buy a set of cupholders from quadratec and don't look back i love the center console in my truck with the buckets, i had the mini console and buckets and it was silly, nowhere to put anything. ended up shoving a square lunchbox between the seats for a make-shift console.
  12. maybe, but doubtful i know alot of us have done the 97+ so maybe 01ish people would do 2500 stuff to make them look new again haha.
  13. i know that ideally all the teeth should show the same strike pattern... but as to what that should look like.. i'm with beaterjeep. ernt kno nuttin.
  14. can't tell in the picture but you're sure you can't move the actual crossmember and have them line up? (I'm mildy confused so if you've already answered that then idk) EDIT: not confused... retarded sorry. re-read your last post.. got any random 1/4" plate lyin around you can just drill holes for the mount then drill holes for the crossmember and bolt it all up just to get on the rd?
  15. best sounding 4.0 clip i've heard... i'm sold.
  16. kick butt job on that. we'll start the bets at 1$ who's in? :brows: j/k man.
  17. you can move the transmission crossmember no? there should be a set of holes for the AX position and one for the BA10 position. :dunno: and your t-case either works with a ba10 or it works with an ax15... if you've got a 21 spline ax15 i wanna know where the hell its from! that would make life easy
  18. stopping it from shootin everywhere is easy... find an empty quart of oil, place end of spewing tube in bottle, don't seal it off (it will come out somewhere else) and empty when full ;)
  19. oh, that sucks... its by far the best looking though imho. if i had 45,000 to spend though i could have a sick MJ, and a sick J-truck with a cummins. to pull the MJ & XJ around  why worry bout new?
  20. get a buddy with a winch, and a treesaver, throw winch over tree branch with tree-saver and sit back
  21. offroader: did he mention a price for one? it'd probly be expensive to ship though.
  22. :rotfl2:
  23. its not that the stock steering setup won't work that big, but that the stock stuff is stamped steel and won't last long with a 33" tire or larger... bends easy rustys has a good lookin kit out, as well as JCR offroad but the JCR kit involves drillin/reaming. driveline you'll have to see, if you do a D44 or something at the same time then the pinion is 1" longer on the d44 than the d35 and that'll help but if you're jsut lifting then you may need to extend the D/S edit: just read again see you have a factory d44 get someone to measure a MJ with the same driveline/bed length but a d35 and see if that shaft isnt a little bit longer, probly find someone who has one laying around if it is indeed longer
  24. if you figure this out lemme know, BOTH mine do this, and i never swapped gauges... with the lights on both turn signal indicators are lit up and then flash if i hit the blinker. :headpop:
  25. found the thread here... good ways down the page just hit ctrl+f type in cougar and it'll find the right spot for ya. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5628&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=cougar
