don't be mistaken... that's no ordinary smart-car, although i forget what they swapped in there, someone was tellin me about that same exact video the other day. some ridiculous engine in it.

Chrysler V8 to AX15 Comanche?
Oizarod115 replied to jpfrogger's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
imho swapping in a 5.2 wuold be a waste of time, its not that much above a 4.0 stock anyways. and If i remember right there's not much aftermarket out there for them compared to like SBCs and 5.0s the Chryco 5.9 would be a decent swap though. -
if you end up with a problem that you go back to the dealer three times for the same problem without them resolving the issue at that mileage they will buy the vehicle back for ORIGINAL purchase value. we talk alot about this in toyota school because if someone comes in with an issue and you don't fix it right the first time, thats 1/3 tries gone.

hahah, it really didn't seem like he tried at all in the lambo. but either way, its still a honda ;)

yeah, and make sure to get the blinker fluids topped off at your local shop first thing, i heard cops have been cracking down on that lately... :brows:

does she move on her own!?!? ok, i guess the lack of a driveshaft would answer that one... :thwak:

my buddy was talkin earlier about his friends YJ they spent hours trying to fix it throwing parts at it, and turns up it was a fuse under the hood that acts like a kill switch. this was an HO 4.0 so i didnt know if our trucks have the same type of fuse?

wow! 4.88s are deeper than stock on a 35" tire... holy CHRIST i can't imagine attempting to drive a stock truck with 4.56 much less 4.88 -
Stock Manche needs a lift!
Oizarod115 replied to auto-matik's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
aiight, c'mon guys, just a guess... but considering a 235/75r15 is like a 28.5ish " tire, and that's stock-ish i'll take a wild stab that he meant tires not rims ;) although 28's on one of these would be pretty funny... (as a prank.) -
haha, i'm bout to be a toyota mechanic... i stay out of that arguement thouhg toyota is the only other off-road vehicle manufacturer i have any respect for other than jeep. well, some nissan's can be built too but still.

my brother has an 07 prerunner 4banger taco (that stays on the rd. we have jjeeps for having fun in) and surfs TTORA.com alot, they have to stiffen the HELL out of their frames... a couple dudes have gotten replacement frames on warranty at the dealer from bends/cracks. :D so yeah, i'd like to see one put up with that.
-
didn't know you needed that, i know it's longer than a stick-4.0 shaft though cause my shaft was to short to go in my brother's truck (auto4.0)

my only problem with that kit is the lack of control arms. at 5" or they even offer a 6" you DEFINITELY have to have new CA's or you will have crazy problems. any of the other offroad manufacturers make them based on lift so just buy some adj ones to go with this kit and you're set my other thing is... if you want a 6" lift... why not go with a 6" coil? or like a 4.5-5" with a 1.5-1" spacer. 3" spacer 3" coil just seems odd to me unless its an ACOS

he had to be driving thinkin "hmm, annny time now we're gonna come up the other side.... annny time... comee onn... its gettin deeperr..." BAIL!!!!

... dana 30 is a front axle... but the 35 would be the crappy rear.. and if it has a front 44 it's most definitely NOT factory, so you've either got a headache on your hands or you got lucky and someone spent alot of $ and did it right. but d44 was optional rear, or d35 and factory front axle was only the d30 and since it's got the 2.8 i guess its an 86 which means the fact optional rearend upgrade would be the AMC20 which is still a good axle.
