  1. how much are you selling for? i'm only in GA... do you know if the trucks will pass smog?
  2. my truck does the EXACTLY what you describe with the 4x4 light and the front axle engaging. don't worry about it, you more than likely have a leak somewhere and the reason the 4x4 light goes off under heavy accel. is the higher vacuum put out in those instances, it will not affect mileage, power, or your 4x4 working when you're actually in 4x4. as for your t-case, unless you pulled the shifter INTO 4x4 (2wheel is all the way forwards) you will not be in 4x4, i seriously doubt you messed up the linkages on it from a front end fender bender. (i destroyed an accord with no visible damage to the truck) as for shifting into 4x4... don't put it in 4x4 on the road unless there are slippery conditions (ice/snow, REALLY REALLY bad rain) or you are pulling off to go wheeling, put the trans. in neutral and pull the lever into 4x HIGH. put back in gear and you should be in 4x4 (if not you have problems) shifting into 4x4 LOW RANGE should be done at 2ish MPH, NOT AT SPEED. shift trans in N then move t-case lever back, right, and all the way back into 4x4 LOW, (there is a notch you have to go around so that you can't accidently throw it in 4x4 LOW at high speeds)
  3. i can't find anything but 10K 5K 50K 1K ohm potentiometers on radioshack.com... and thats HELLA high resistance, what on earth would you need 50K ohms for? or am i missing something here? is this the thing i want? http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productid=2062307&cp
  4. where do i buy one of those?
  5. a 1k ohm resistor in series with the MAP would send 5/1000s of a volt to the sensor... no?
  6. sounds like a bad axleshaft u-joint... do the joints in the axleshafts have any play in them?
  7. ooh, good idea, i hadn't thought of that, just use a variable resistor on the input wire then? that'd do her right? then adjust as necessary. i know tomorrow's project.
  8. i tested that one, its in spec
  9. i'm not "assuming" the o2 sensor is good... i meant, assuming it IS good, what else CAN cause a rich fuel-air ratio. 5-90 on naxja said the heater circuit through the sensor should be getting 12V and there should be anotehr 5v lead or something else going on. i'm not getting any Ohm reading on the heater though (terminals A-B) so idk whats going on. lemme run this idea by yall: what if i were to wire around another sensor (say the CTS) with a small resistor so that that sensor would lean out the mixture. would that even work?
  10. yeah, but they're 19lb/hr injectors... same as a renix 4.0 injector no change at all ok I thought they had a larger flow. I wish I knew more about these systems to help you out.... sorry nah thanks though, its not a performance upgrade other than the fact they have 4 holes opposed to the stock 1 hole injectors. does anyone know, i think my problem is I'm puttin 12v to these o2 sensors. which 9320696% of the other sensors run off 5v (map, mat, cts, tps) if i'm puttin double+ to the o2 sensor maybe thats why my new one (bench tested out of the box at 60* and 4 ohms) now has NO resistance through it 4 days later.
  11. yeah, but they're 19lb/hr injectors... same as a renix 4.0 injector no change at all
  12. had the truck tested for emissions this week and my results were as follows: 1989 comanche 4.0l 5spd. 25/25 test 50/15 HC-ppm 223/189 FAIL 259/194 FAIL CO% 6.56/2.36 FAIL 6.48/1.74 FAIL NOx ppm 129/1233 PASS 177/1340 PASS which, according to my book from school (auto-tech school) an increase in CO/HC and a decrease in NOx emissions points directly to a rich mix. and also i pulled the new o2 sensor out after 2 days and its covered in black soot. (points to a rich mix) however, i tested the MAT, MAP, and CTS, all of which are within spec (tested using methods described here http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Eng ... ostics.htm) the only thing i can't get a reading on is the o2 sensor which is new, and should be good. however i'm getting 12v to the sensor... is that right? it should be 5v right? i can't get a reading of anything comin out of the sensor. assuming the o2 sensor is ok since it's new, what else controls fuel-air ratio? or what else could cause these types of emissions
  13. don't think so that would make it the obvious winner if it did.
  14. thats why i said supercharger :D
  15. with that in mind yeah, it'll all swap over, i still have the renix manifolds and all the sensors
  16. It won't fit under the hood on the XJ or MJ. I have the KB setup on my Golen 4.6L stroker in my XJ. I had to have a custom set of motor mounts made to lower my motor 1.25", do an adapter plate for my intake manifold to lower it .5" and than have a custom pulley made to get the rest of the clearance with the hood. If you factor in the blower, I have around $6K in the project, not including the cost of the engine management. Took me 2 years and it's finally on as of about 3 weeks ago. Search Jeepforum, I have a lot of pics and info of my project. see my solution for it not fitting under the hood is alot more simple... angle grinder. somethin to the effect of peteMs hood-scoop/fan thingy. just a little poke up
  17. modine makes an all metal 3-core.. i had it for a while til i nailed the accord  and the kenne bell kit comes with a small tranny cooler size intercooler and a separate overflow and stuff
  18. yeah i can't see that workin well without a track bar.. you gonna run the angle'd links from an angled mount? or are you gonna bend the links to make the angle?
  19. Hey oizarod115 When you put the 97 block and head in your manche did everything bolt right up to the renix fi? I wanted to put a HO block and head in mine whenever i get an ax15 yeah with some minor things like temp sensor (for the gauge) and stuff liek that, its the same motor though, honestly i wouldn't do it unless your motor needs a rebuild anyways. basically the same stuff, maybe liek 10 hp
  20. my wipers make terrible noise if i do them and the windshield is dry.. .they get stuck in one spot but when its rainin they work fine.
  21. coulda tolja that one mate... the P/Ns are different ;)
  22. :dunno: i've never seen one like THAT before... all the AX15s ive seen had 4 bolts just like the pukegoat (cept it only has 3)
  23. turbo!?! kenne bell makes a 6 or 6 intercooled or 8 intercooled supercharger kit for the i6 comes with a compy for your obd1 stuff so us renix guys would have to toy about with injectors/adjustable MAPs and stuff
  24. i'm thinking WHAAAAAAAAAAAT because i have no GD idea what a single triangulated 4-link is. ;) but i'll know when you finish.
  25. wow... that's rough man. my thoughts go out to everyone effected.
