i seem to remember the gauge lights being tied in to the park lamps fuse in the block. you checked for clutch fluid leaking into the truck and on the fuse block? -
bent/flared/installed brake lines for my upgraded 99 brake booster. (now wishing it was a 95-96 booster... but it was free so no hard feelings) tomorrow i'll bleed the brakes and see about cutting the booster rod shorter.

you have tried jumping 12v to the pump and making sure it actually works correct? at that point if it indeed works, you need to chase wiring, get a meter and start at the fuel pump connector and work backwards from a wiring diagram til you find where its losing voltage at.

Easier maybe, cheaper? Maybe not. The idler pulley bearings are less than $3.00/ea at Fastenal, take about 10 minutes to press out / press in, done. The cost of those bars of soap add up after awhile........... :cheers: and you're going to need a dedicated bar of soap for that because momma aint gonna be happy when she gets in the shower and her soap has 6 black grooves cut in it :fool:

the main problem i've run into when wheeling a D30 hasnt been any breakages, but wearing stuff out. the hub assemblies are the weak link in my experience, and running 35s will wear them out quickly. the only fix for that is the warn hub conversions at 1300 dollars and then you have to run a bigger bolt pattern if you want to have the big bearings. FWIW its a great axle, just make sure to jack it up and check wheelbearing play at each oil change. -

yeah, that'd be fine if i were using a 96 booster ;) mine's from a 99 and i already have the spacer installed. i'll just have to shorten the rod. thanks guys -
swapped the motor in my brothers jeep in a parking lot near his apartment, ordered pizza to the parking lot even. persuaded some frat boys to help us drag it out :clapping:

i already have the 1/4 inch spacer installed, i think the rod itself it to long, needs to be shortened, just wondering how others have gone about shortening it? -

bringing back an old thread here, for all you renix guys... what did you do to fix the brake pedal being REALLY high, my brake pedal is now about 3 inches further up than my clutch pedal. anyone else have this issue? -
if you're feeling saucy you could pull the oil pan and check the pickup to see if its packed full of crap. that does happen the screen can get stopped up or partially blocked and cause low oil pressure. edit: or check, next time you drain the oil, you MIGHT even be able to get a light and look up in there at the pickup, i think it's fairly close to the rear of the motor

if anyone wanted to know, advance auto and places like it sell chevy drop shackles, pretty beefy looking stuff for around 35 $ -
i'm not calling BS or anything but i gotta ask someone else to do it... i yanked the wires off my ballast resistor in efforts to keep the pump from spewing gas out everywhere when i ran the starter while i had the fuel lines disconnected... the pump stil ran. pulled the pump relay by the coil... still ran, pulled ALL 4 relays and it pumped out fuel. :hmm: are you absolutely sure the truck wouldn't run with the ballast resistor unplugged?

the stock ones from the dealer for a later model TJ i know will fit. and they run less than 20 bucks IIRC

no, an HO manifold will not bolt right up to your truck and work properly. its a whooole other job to make it fit/work.
