  1. I imagine that snap on ball joint press is well north of $250 new. Not including the adapters. Ok, I found some used ones for $450 with a slightly larger set of adapters than what you have. You got yourself a good score.
  2. I’m guessing $50
  3. The bolts I could find right now are for a 96 and up Stamped 4.0 valve cover, I think they are a little short. I’ll look some more in the morning.
  4. I got 340k out of the AX15 in my 98 XJ, it started to pop out of first gear at 300k and seeing how it had 4.10 gears I just started off in second for the next 40k. I would just throw it in and see what happens.
  5. I’ll check shipping tomorrow. I’ll cover $10 of shipping, any more you can add to the $50. I should have enough 4.0 valve cover bolts laying around.
  6. I have a stock aluminum valve cover off of a 1995 YJ 2.5. $50 plus the shipping.
  7. Do not park near dead trees. You can thank me later.
  8. Also please don’t scrap it. 2 door rear wheel drive 5 speed Toyota’s will always find a willing buyer if the rust is minimal.
  9. This is a good place to start. Clean it and detail it. I bet it will be worth much more than $750 when you’re done.
  10. Nice Chevy SSR!
  11. Probably a Stanadyne style pump. Cost my father over a grand each time in the 80’s to rebuild it on his 1980 Olds 350 diesel. Three times in 120k!
  12. You won't have to worry about hurting the transmission, they came with a Turbo 400 and Dana 20 behind the V6.
  13. I have them in gray and silver.
  14. I’d do it if I had access to a complete square body with a gas drivetrain or a 2001-2006 2500-3500 Vortec drivetrain.
  15. The founders put the 2nd amendment in to protect against tyranny. Shall not be infringed means just that. It is an individual right, not a collective right. There are more than enough infringements on it already. In my neighborhood there is gun fire at least on a weekly basis if not more often. Also there is no crime in our neighborhood. We had a new neighbor move in a year or so ago, heard quite a bit of shooting, went up to say hi and check out his back stop. All good! Carry on!
  16. On my 2006 WK the transmission cooler and AC condenser are the same piece. If it starts leaking at the fittings on the cooler, replace the lines first. That fixed the leak on mine. Also, buy factory oem lines because they come in a four piece arrangement with a junction block in the middle that allows you to install the lines without dropping the front axle center section, much easier to install.

    Yanked?

The popular vote would be several cities telling the rest of the country how to go about their business. The electoral college is absolutely essential.
  18. Triple hitch, there’s a gooseneck ball right above them.
  19. I did have a 96 XJ that felt more powerful than all the others. It was a noticeable difference. I couldn’t see anything different about it.
  20. The power difference between coil packs and distributor is non existent. They are rated the same and feel the same between my stock 99 XJ and stock 00 XJ. The gearing will make a difference on how the power feels. With 4.56’s it will feel like you have more power because you have a larger lever in the gear case.
  21. Most XJ’s come with dual horns. 400hz and 500hz switch your 500 to a 400. That made mine more noticeable to me. Running them off a relay may help too. More current going to the horn.
  22. 4.56’s will definitely feel like more power than 4.10’s.
  23. 11/15-4/15 for studs in CT. I usually run them approx 12/1-4/1. I had a 1988 Escort that I melted a set of snows off in 10,000 miles one summer. Always felt like they were greasy.
