  1. interesting. maybe a aussie thing?
  2. carrier same. gears inside carrier or locker have splines to match or engaged axleshafts. so yes it will replace stock carrier as lsd carrier be separate carrier.
  3. could instill trac bar brace if wanted more strength. looks good though. i like your shoes.
  4. not sure if this is the place but it made me laugh. when light bars are number one upgrade.
  5. ohm test be about 5. volts i reckon
  6. give it a jiggle if stumbles replace or tighten back down.
  7. not needed unless you want to be legit. I'm running 8.5" and stock slip. you will still need to drop tcase a bit and ensure proper length of driveshaft to ensure full engagement during frame flexing. longer wheelbased rigs, like trucks, have better driveshaft angles to work with wheres wranglers and xj with shorter wheelbase need compact driveshafts and better rotational angles during flexing. with that your upgrade mainshaft added strength and will a little gumption most can handle install. also with this type of setup you could have one spare driveshaft for front or rear . and typically if your considering installing one you most likely have tcase that is due for maintenence and this be ideal time for such repairs or upgrades to thicker chain and bigger planetary gears. oh so many options right, do you need sye..? no. but if have the cash to get it then why not. 🤑
  8. did you check the cps?
  9. i disconnect nss so as to ease in popping the clutch to get it running. even with my auto now i have it so i can slap the gearshift like a manual. it just feels cool.
  10. i have 4.88s with 37s with auto. better when i install ax15. then be down right fun and reliable.
  11. if plan to go to 35s eventually, id say 4.88s, but with a stick 4.56s will be good and better overall performance.
  12. thats a corporate axle with drop out 3rd member simular to the ford 9". no good.
  13. no need to swap just yet. unless get axle with gears installed for your plans. then it be worth it. its not bad of a swap and in doing so you can add some reinforcements to the weak areas. biggest idea is have a light foot let the gears do the work.
  14. yeah and just found that the attempted plot to kidnap gov whitmer was having meetings 2 blocks away. i hate city life.
  15. wheres your sense of adventure?
  16. yeah however i have had this setup before i did driveshaft and pulled the yoke out and it binded up the driveline and broke the yoke slip while i was all flexed up over some electrical poles obstacle. no problem since driveshaft mods.
  17. I'm at 8.5" of lift and still run a stock slip yoke setup just have the built in tcase drop from the RC long arm setup. still had the driveshaft made for proper length.
  18. mini van doing work
  19. can't argue with that decision. good project trucks. keep us updated.
