"user control panel" in the upper right, then "profile" on the left, then "edit signature" on the left should get you there. :thumbsup: assuming you're looking to change your signature.

have you changed the speedo gear to account for the bigger tires?

did this slowness come on quickly or slowly? also, what size are those tires?

my roommate has come through :thumbsup: and the truck is tagged and back at home. (and by "come though" I mean the truck was missing for over a week and he didn't notice :fs1: ) now to deal with this "abandoned vehicle" ticket...

just lock the CAD over, remove all its lines, then plug the originating port. :thumbsup: no more lines to break and steal your 4wd at the most critical moments. :yes: though that probably won't solve the running rough problem. you might have gotten water on some of the electronics.

anyone know if the CAD vac line can suck up a bunch of water and do this?

I bet my code enforcer was just grinnin' like a damn jack-o-lantern. :fs1: So the 88 is technically in my dad's name and the state of michigan failed to get the plate renewal forms to him in georgia (moved a couple years back). the plate expired and the code enforcer jumped on it and tagged/towed it. no problemo you might think. I'll just go renew the tags, pay the fine, and get my truck outta hock. except that I'm out of state at the moment. no problemo, my roommate will go do it. not so fast. Michigan says ya gotta be family or have proof of same residency as the vehicle to renew a plate and of course he's only been there a few months and doesn't have that. so he's on his way to the secretary of state anyway with title in hand to see if there's anything they can do. updates as events warrant... :wall:

the slow pressure of the pilot bearing puller seemed to so the trick for me. :dunno: be sure to spray in some PB Blaster or other penetrant and let it soak. the jigsaw thing was going to be my next step.

back when my 88 was 2wd I ran 30s on stock aluminum rims with no rubbing whatsoever. :D 235s are a hair smaller than 30s.

wear goggles. I've tried it and if it isn't a perfect fit, the grease will spray out back at you. :(

how close are the sway bar parts to the coils? is the track bar in good shape?

I eventually won with a pilot bearing puller (not the slide hammer version, but a gear puller type). if that had failed though, the next step I was going to try was to cut a slice into the side with a sawzall.

if you have stock rims, up to 30" tires can be run with no rubbing and 31s can be run with minimal rubbing (usually just on the lower control arms and that can be fixed with WJ arms from the junkyard). if you have aftermarket rims, then the rules change slightly (eg: 31s will rub on the edges of the flares when turning). don't forget that bigger tires will make your truck feel a bit more sluggish and will change your speedo readings (which can be fixed by swapping in the right speedo gear).
