that would be my bet. :thumbsup: and the reason why 20"+ rims are so popular with new trucks these days. People want both bigger tires on their big trucks but still want that car-like feel and the lower profile tires give them that.

3.07 are on the other side of the sweet spot for mpgs. I got better mpgs when I bumped up to 3.55s. :thumbsup: but, as with everything else in the Jeep world, individual results may vary. and just to double check, are you sure that's a crack in the t-case rather than a casting flaw? I had what I thought was a crack in a trans a while back but it turned out that it just looked like a crack. :yes:

32" tires will never react like stockers. there's plenty more sidewall to flex. what parts were included in the front lift?

if you've got the budget, HellCreek's springs seem to get rave reviews. :thumbsup: Or you if you're on a budget you could try an add-a-leaf. A long AAL designed to give 3" lift in an XJ (1.5" in an MJ) should give you a boost and a higher load capacity. (leafs advertized to give an MJ 3" have historically just been re-purposed XJ AALs so don't expect a full 3" out of them)

I'd ignore the knock and drive it til it dies. :yes: then swap in a junkyard block. There's no telling how long the old Jeep engines can go. it might never die on you. :dunno:

if the buckets came from an MJ, then they will go right in with no mods needed. :thumbsup: fyi, the female ends of the seatbelts in a buckets truck will have a sheath that keeps it from falling to the floor.

windows are only one of the common leak points. Windshield, door seals, any of the myriad of firewall holes, heck pretty much anything that possibly could leak has lead to water under the carpet. best to check them all. :yes: I've had good success with using baby powder sprinkled around to locate leaks. the water will trickle through the powder and leave trails that lead back to the source. :thumbsup:

also, if you have any issues with the leaf spring bolts and need new ones, they are the same as lower control arm bolts (which tend to be in better shape at the junkyards) :thumbsup:

not regular chevy shackles you want the drop shackles, which are longer. any parts store should have them. :thumbsup:
