  1. the bar can be pressed out.
  2. pic of the ends of your leafs? usually the AAL will have a different shape to the end.
  3. going SOA gives like 6" of lift over your current height. seeing as you already have some lift, how tall did you want to be in the end? as to the process. the perches need to be welded on. then the shock mounts get welded on. both things need to be in approximately the same orientation they are in now (though your lower shock eyes will be 90* from stock depending on which mounts you bought). though the shock mounts can be put on a bit higher than stock for some more clearance. don't forget the longer brakeline if it hasn't been installed already (which I kinda doubt it has).
  4. can you get a picture of these "drop brackets"
  5. just... plain... awesome.
  6. the headliner is quite important while driving in the sunshine.
  7. next year :D still in michigan this fall.
  8. I've used the HB straps and haven't had a problem yet. but I've not used a name-brand strap so I can't make a comparison.
  9. I hear ya :) took scores of photos of that MJ racing poster before I got one good enough. :D
  10. double-dog-dare to be different. :dunno:
  11. I think so.
  12. they look pretty good. but I need the "Comanche" fender emblem.
  13. welcome to the club! :waving: looks like you're making some progress. wiring is probably my least favorite mess to deal with :( doesn't help that I suck at it.
  14. color matters not. it just can't be reflective. My own phone can take an acceptable pic, so I'd guess an iphone can too. just make sure the camera is as squared up as possible.
  15. can we turn off the anti-capitals setting? I don't mind fixing the occasional screaming.
  16. baking soda would work. though I think it dissolves in water. that might make for more mess. or less. only one way to find out! :D
  17. and one last thing to add, never join 2 straps together with a shackle. if one strap were to break, the shackle then becomes a projectile. Try your hardest to never use more than one strap at a time, but if you really need the extra length, loop then through each other. the magazine can be substituted with a rolled up towel or whatever that's light. it's purpose is to allow you to get the straps back apart. never loop them together without something in there or they will become permanently joined.
  18. 6000 lb strap? is that tow strap or a recovery strap? get one of these at the very least: http://www.harborfreight.com/3-inch-x-30-ft-heavy-duty-recovery-strap-67230.html 3"x30', 27k lb, with loops on the ends.
  19. I guess pretty much any powder will work. I used baby powder because it's cheap and inert.
  20. yup. just needs to be painted so there's no reflective chrome on it. on the Jeep or off, doesn't matter. just needs to be as squared-up as possible in the image.
  21. could be the rear window leaking. could be the door. the baby powder trick works.

facebook is what you make of it. it's simple to set up a fake name with a fake email and use it purely for photo/video hosting. but it's just one of the choices and there are probably better options when it comes to photo hosting. I just wanted to throw it out as an option if the OP already had an account.
