every gas has its own rules and regulations so, no, the shop won't fill an unapproved or inspected tank. don't forget that tanks need to be inspected every few years. I bought mine used from the welding supply shop.

there's a lot of unknowns when buying an old truck. it's probably best to just focus on getting it home in the safest way possible and not have to trust any bit of the truck (bearings, tires, etc.).

try purging the cache in your browser. I've found that weird things happen to me now again and purging makes it all better :D

said goodbye to my 86 a few weeks ago and now the 90 has moved on to a new owner. miss them already, but they cannot come with me to GA. I still have the 88 and there's a rustfree MJ in ga waiting for me, so all hope is not lost.

try typing something in the box and then pasting on it. apparently you cannot right-click just anywhere in the text box, it has to be near text (or the upper left corner). if that doesn't work, try purging your cache.

absolutely. it's stored as a liquid and so there's WAY more volume of gas in there than a compressed air tank can hold. :thumbsup:

why is it that you two can't hash this out in private messages? You have more in common than you have differences, so do whatever it is you have to do to get past those differences and start playing nicely together. or start ignoring each other. whatever. I've stopped caring which of those you choose to so, but pick one.

got a guy saying he'll come pick it up saturday, but who knows if it'll actually happen. I'll keep ya posted.

how do you know it's an 88?

our trucks tend to rot from the inside-out so that rust you see on the outside of the bed is probably 100 times worse on the inside of that sheetmetal. :( same with the rockers. and floors. and frames. and doors.

I've got a Co2 tank and love it. :D maybe have 100 bucks into it with a 10? pounder steel tank and fixed 100psi regulator. I have GOBS of continuous flow and it can separate from the truck to provide air anywhere I want. the size tank I have has more than enough to last a weekend of wheeling and refills are $13. I recently splurged on a cheap harbor freight pressure regulator with quick-connects so I can tone down the pressure for use with my brad nailer.

It's never too late. I'm STILL suffering from post-removal issues. :( seems I'm one of the few "lucky" ones who's body doesn't seem to adjust to the lack o' gall bladder. but the Colastid (sp?) pills I'm on are making life tolerable. :D I can't eat everything yet (no fatty foods, no lettuce or carrots, no bubbles, etc), :( but I can at least eat the foods I was supposed to be able to eat without fear of needing a bathroom 30 mins later. :banana: (thank god I didn't need a catheter for anything. that sounds awful, snakedoc!)

it's not uncommon for the latch mechanisms to seize up. had it happen to me years ago. had to get the interior panel off (not easy) and yank on the rods directly to finally get it to open. after opening the door and removing the mechanism, you might be able to restore its functionality with a good soaking. at the time I just bought a new one. nowadays I'd just get a working junkyard unit and soak it in lube before installing it. you can try pushing the exterior button at the same time as pulling the interior handle. might get lucky. :dunno:
