  1. he has noticed that it goes just a bit slower. hasn't dampened his enthusiasm though. :D so far the Jeep has made it up all of the places that it previously stalled. I wanted to go even deeper to 14 tooth gears but these came out of the dune buggy I already had (but he hasn't seen yet). can't beat free! later on I'll swap the 19s into the buggy and then it'll be even faster.
  2. putting the ol' jeep to work. :D just got done swapping the 19tooth gears for 16tooth units. if my math is right, this should help out with more torque for hill climbs. :dunno: will find out tomorrow when he gets here for a test drive.
  3. not sure how to get this here from facebook where I saw it, but here's the link. hopefully you guys can see it. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=836434656380444&fref=nf
  4. sorry, just sent out the last one. :( you might want to send a message to our shirt guy (cromanyak) and ask if he ever got that hat printer he was wanting.
  5. there's a world of difference when changing ratios. i went from 3.07s to 3.55s (30" tires) and the truck really pepped up and came alive! I'll never settle for 3.07s again.
  6. not sure if you're swapping just the gears or whole axles, doing the work yourself or paying a shop, but I figured I should add: do not spend any money on a Dana 35. swap in a whole (and better if you can) axle.
  7. the drivetrain and body is all plastic. no gas engines until I can make a steel subframe. in the mean time I've added handles (like the ww2 flatties), a smaller Jeep emblem, and we're going over the benefits of recovery straps. :D
  8. only time will tell, but I'd wager there will be an uptick in value with time. look how much the clean examples of MJs are going for.

all seems quiet outside. used most the can and then shoved a rock in the entrance. haven't had the guts to pull out the rock just yet. :D
  10. I want a welder :( though once I did assemble an engine hoist from the 4x6 beams out in the landscaping. :D (dad was impressed, but not all that amused)

I was hesitant to use plain water after watching a carpenter ant walk around underwater in my aquarium like it was nothing (I threw 'er in for the fish). guess there's a limit to that under water hijinks, I'd just need to exceed it.

the deed is done. seemed like any other wasp killing spray. :dunno: I really wanted to try the co2 but was overruled by the rest of the household. they've got no imagination :D

what are everyone's favorite way to get rid of them? I'd like to avoid using gasoline since they are in the front lawn.
  16. we'll see. we all know how addictive an mj can be. :D
  17.   how is he not a member here?
  18. isn't the rad hose supposed to route behind the AC compressor? looks like someone started a conversion and then stopped.
  19. out of curiosity, what's wrong with the current engine?
  20. got nothing against that plan, but being an uncle is pretty sweet and I'm going to enjoy it for all it's worth. :D later today I hope to find some time to get the lights wired in.
