    that look is priceless :D
  5. I'll send some out next chance I get. I didn't bring any stickers with me to michigan though. just cards/magnets so anything else would have to wait til I get back to GA in a couple weeks.
  6. oh, right. the other thing. yeah, I imagine a trip up to Troy is in my future. :D
  7. message sent
  8. AX-5 came behind our 2.5s
  9. thanks for the thought, but that'd be a bit much for a side trip in an already 12 hour drive. :( although, I could make it into an excuse to visit Corey... hmmm....

my nephew was 2 when I introduced him to his new obsession. going on 4 now and I'm pretty sure he's hooked. :D
  11. the truck in that pic is lifted more than 2-3". what exactly is the plan for this truck? seems to me that to a certain extent the amount of lift I wanted would trump the precise method of lifting. bigger lifts cost more. bigger lifts mean bigger tires. bigger tires mean crappy acceleration, leading to needing better gears. it's a never ending cycle of spending. :( seems like a lot just in case you might someday get hung up on the ubolts. :dunno: look into the U-bolt eliminator designs. between those and some relocated shock mounts, you can create a reasonably smooth underside.
  12. your link links to the photo
  13. just plan on retaining your MJ mains. that'll keep everything where it should be. XJ leafs are pretty flat. you might get close to your goal with a set of them (cut the eyes off and put the entire pack under your mains). just be sure to properly support your mains.
  14. neat idea! but I was hoping for something a bit more durable :D
  15. :yeah that: in a couple weeks I'm driving back to GA so anywhere along the I-75 corridor would be cool. I'd prefer over the rail and without a bunch of holes cut into it, but I'm open to anything for the right price.
  16. had a similar cable fire in my 88. turned out that the alt had shorted internally (or some such thing, it was a while ago). it sucked, that's for sure.
  17. *cough* classifieds *cough*
  18. gas is one thing. repair costs are another. it can be hard to beat our trucks for their low maintenance costs. make sure whatever crappy import you get isn't due for the timing belt change.
  19. so your backup lights don't work? could be a bad switch in the trans. or corrosion inside the rear harness connector located behind the drivers rear tire. (I've had both issues)
  20. oh good, he has a 440 go with it :D
  21. nice :D
  22. forgot to add this image. the plastic hub was never intended to endure a crushing bandclamp around it and the little fingers kept bending, so I've strengthened it inside with a bit of pipe from my plumbing box.
