It's a terrifying thought, but we do not in MN. nothing here in MI either. I for one am happy about it though... I wish that there was at least some kind of inspection... even if it were only when every few years. I think it'd keep a bunch of the scary crap off the roads. When I was working in repair you wouldn't believe the vehicles that some people would drive up in! :eek: problem is the government takes it too far. ANY rust becomes "bad" rust, even if it's just a fender. :fs1: all of my MJs would have been hauled away if I lived in (I think) Massachusetts because they would never have passed inspection. :(

I bought the 2 ton model several years ago and love it. I've used it to pick up all sorts of heavy items; engines, axles, entire front ends of rigs, to rocks bigger than a bean bag chair. :D very handy tool and so far has been problem free. :thumbsup:

yup, it was full. :doh: I was expecting the system to delete one automatically, but I guess I was remembering the previous forum software. :dunno:

mine has some less-than-stellar welds. this is the connection to the MJ frame. it's hard to see but there are 3 rosette welds on each side and a weld seam up the edge and across the top. the new steel only goes in maybe 10 inches. if I lived in michigan this would scare me. but it passed colorado inspection and now resides in georgia where rust is minimal. :crossfingers: the new steel is beefy and has a strong cross brace. the welding quality is... adequate. nothing pretty to see here. :(
