what engine/trans/tiresize do you have and what do you intend to do with the jeep?

I meant that they suck on the road in every conceivable way. offroad is waaay different. :D

spring over and 33x14s (and a 9"). rim width, backspacing and bumpstopping are key. I did nip a bit off the bottom edge of the flares. also, never take them on the road. they suck in every measurable way (and a few non-measurable ones).

x2 check the valve cover first. buy 2 seals. just in case you mess one up. then you don't have to run to a store mid-project. also, let the RTV fully cure before firing up the engine. learned that one the hard way. :( If you pay a pro, don't let them convince you that the trans has to be pulled. If they say that, go somewhere else!

4.0? there is a way to swap just the HO block into your truck. that way everything looks and acts stock. guys with memory better than mine will need to fill in the details.

I would transplant the 4.0 stuff into the solid body. but that's just me. a big hammer will clear the firewall, and you have a complete truck to steal the radiator mount area and hood. It's been done before.

update: I uninstalled, then reinstalled and it's the same. so I uninstalled and left it out and so far I can see youtube vids and there are no error messages, but places like facebook still seem to need adobe to show embedded vids. whatever. all-in-all I think this is a win. :D

I downloaded straight from adobe's website, so I should be good there. but I think I had firefox still open when I did the uninstall so I'm going to try again using the instructions in Jeep Driver's link.

waaaaay outta my league, that's for sure. I've reinstalled the flash player with no change. :(

so in my attempts to simply get embedded vids to play properly I wanted to reinstall the adobe flash stuff. no problemo I thought, I'll just uninstall them and reinstall and see what happens. so now I've discovered that I probably shouldn't have uninstalled the adobe activeX program because I cannot for the life of me find a place from which to reinstall it. how badly have I screwed myself here? nothing flash related works. in the flash player settings manager I see: ActiveX version: not installed NPAPI Plug-in version: 15.0.0.223 PPAPI Plug-in version: not installed and I can't find a place to download what I'm assuming are the missing pieces.

try bypassing the fuel pump ballast resistor. its a whitish ceramic chunk about 3 inches long in the engine by on the drivers side fender. just take the 2 wires coming off of it and connect them together and try starting it up

jack up one rear tire, put the trans/tcase in neutral, rotate the raised tire around twice while counting the times the driveshaft rotates. about 3 times is 3.07, 3 and a half times is 3.55, etc. make a mark on the driveshaft to make it easier. if the rear axle is a posi, then you'll need to jack up both rear tires and rotate the tires around once.

same here when I saw diesel for 3.11 in Tennessee. :eek: I didn't even need much but felt I just had to stop. :D I know where I'm filling up on the way back north :yes:
