it's been done. I don't think anyone here has done it to their Jeep, but there are probably vids on youtube. your fuel injection system needs to be up to snuff or you'll melt your pistons. gearing is your ticket to more power. :thumbsup: your truck has a pathetic 3.07 ratio and that is really hampering your acceleration

which gear ratio do you have? to me, rocker guards are more important than lift and I wish I had done them first. :( my truck has 5.5" lift and 33s and I still managed to smash them pretty good from a hill climb on a simple forest trail run. :doh:

there's certainly more poser to be had, especially if you bring over the EFI. :D just don't reuse the stock MJ carb if possible. that thing just plain sucks.

an easier swap is the 3.4 from a camaro/firebird. it reuses all your exhaust/accessories/radiator/etc but is a superior engine inside (better quality parts, better oiling passages, better everything). plus the fuel injection system is pretty much stand-alone and can be swapped into the MJ fairly easily. :thumbsup:

I second this ! I watched the originals and liked them and that was fine for me , there are plenty of other movies Id like to see be made into sequel/prequel but they probably wouldn't bring in top dollar . It is funny though that when people find out I'm not a Star Wars fan they seam realy suprised , perhaps it's a generational thing as I'm only 32 . how can you possibly make an opinion on it without seeing it first? I seem to remember lots of explosions. it was a solid flick. very well done. no need to reject it just because other people like it. you don't need to be a star wars fanatic to enjoy this movie. :thumbsup:

light weight, near-flat tires, and a means to hook up a strap are really all you need. . :MJ 1: . I would actually give consideration to leaving the bumper and winch combo behind as long as you can retain a strong strap point..

my dana 35 worked fine too... right up to the day it blew teeth all over the place inside. and that was a 2wd daily driver with monstrous 30" tires. mileage matters not. they are simply not strong. explorer 8.8s are available with 4.10s and disk brakes from the factory. more beef, more gearing and more braking for the bigger tires. :thumbsup: that's a win-win-win. car-part.com can help you find one.

soa lifts 5-6". your leafs would pretty much be a negative arch to bring that back to 2". why do you need to go spring over? 2wd packs (with a second main leaf) and I had a bit over 5" of lift.
