yum! tonight we had oven baked chicken nuggets and curly fries. truly a gourmet night!
  3. installed lights along my folks' front walk
  4. awesome! I love a good cross country trip! keep us posted on the continuing adventures
  5. yeah, I might need to hit a junkyard tomorrow.
  6. curious if it'll say what rear axle it has
  7. you'll need 1inch shorter than right now because the snout of all the upgrade axles is about 1inch longer than a dana 35.
  8. I've seen a shocking amount of melted plugs associated with the blower lately (including the plug behind the dash switches) and yesterday I went to grab a spare headlight switch from a rust free southern Jeep in the junkyard and found this: and then I went to another Jeep and found the same thing. the headlight relay harness is a good start, but the entire hi-amp system needs to be checked out asap.
  9. do any of them offer a progressive coil? that'd be the winner in my book. and as Mini said, shocks are key. the more you spend, the better they get. but you start to get into opinions then because some guys don't like a "mushy" shock. all in all, I do like my Rusty's coils.
  10. 02 will have drums, but can easily be converted to disks.
  11. you'll need the more expensive LEDs that have the resistor in them, or switch to an LED-friendly flasher. if you go with the upgraded flasher don't forget to upgrade the hazards too.
  12. she's unique if surrounded by other MJs. park that next to 50 blah-blah JKs and you're going to attract a lot of attention.
  13. sittin' pretty low. longbeds for the win!
  14. yeah, I'm going to end this particular thread. been dead too long.
  15. how much might they be asking for such a device?
  16. any MJs? usually the ebrake pedals remain.
  17. there is more to cut off on the liberty axle since it's a link suspension, but after that you can weld on the new perches to make it an MJ axle. check out Dzimm's build thread. he put one in his race truck. the ZJ will bolt-in.
  18. is it a runner?
  19. another option is 3.73 geared dana 30 from a ZJ matched with a 3.73 8.25 from a Libby. both are pretty common in the 'yards. be sure to also start researching the dual booster swap. WJ arms are the same length as the MJ arms and can work for up to 3" of lift. they are way better built and a good upgrade. combine that with 3" coils and shocks and longer brake lines. there is some adjustment in the lower control arm rear mounts for alignment purposes.
  20. nope. it's my spin on a classic Jeep one
  21. funny you mention it, as I do in fact have a decal on the way for the trailer. (not a star.) it should be here in a couple days.
  22. it's a real shame. but that's why I've been collecting all I can find to take back north
