gotcha. I saw "wave" and instantly thought "tidal". looks like our back acre is a swimming pool with a wicked rip tide. no records set, but still roaring pretty good back there.

wait, an atmospheric wave or a legit ocean wave?
  3. southern junkyards are pretty cool. I just wish that I was junkyarding down here like 15 years ago. lord only know how many nice parts were just thrown away.
  4. sorta. I ask and I ask and I ask and so far I've found that the more built a rig is, the less likely they seem to want to bother sharing and talking about it. If the owner has an internet presence at all, we'll see just random updates on facebook with one photo and no details, or they are the "follow me on instagram/twitter" type of person who only want people to come to them. people are complicated and Jeep people are no exception.

looks like we managed to dodge the bigger storm cells here. no real wind damage, just lots and lots of rain. creek flooded of course, but nothing record shattering that would approach the house.
  6. in one sitting? just shy of a ton. the last 1990 pounds might be challenging though.

anyone get especially hammered? I'm currently watching the yellow blobs heading my way. hopefully by the time it gets here it'll just be a bunch of rain and sans windstorms. hope only goes so far though and so I got the chainsaw out of the barn and placed it in the garage for easy access.
  8. 800 bucks and a reman engine inside?! I spent my whole life until just a few months ago never ever experiencing a junkyard having a sale. now I get texts from the U-wrench north of Atlanta and occasionally leave with half-off entire drivetrains. it's a glorious feeling!
  9. nice save!! be sure to start a build thread and share the adventure
  10. screaming? some MJs came with 4.56 on 205s stock. you'll be fine. keep on trucking
  11. 4.10s all day every day. just went up from 3.73 to 4.10 in my Liberty on ~31" tires and it feels rather nice
  12. once there's 3 in a sentence it's hard not to add a couple more
  13. don't the needles pop off? can it be put back on at the 0 mark?
  14. I'm envious. I could use a good campin' trip. spent my day preppin' the property in preparation for the prolific precipitation that's puttering our way. yippee.
  15. make your own pick a bumper that suits you and then find a local fab shop that can bend tube into the bar you want. that way you can use thicker walled tube than what is typically found in a brush guard.
  16. it'll change your life (it a small way, but a change none the less)
  17. hmmm, that's a good question. I'm not seeing the menu that I thought I'd be looking for.
  18. I remember the days before I had an oil filter socket thingie. soooo much cleaner these days!
  19. we are typing angrily worded letters to the software providers as fast as we can but yeah, we're sort of a slave to the software providers at this point. just gotta wait it out 'til they write a patch.
  20. I tap on mine before each long journey, but then that's pretty easy on a KJ. probably don't even need to do that as I have the Co2 tank and puncture kit with me at all times. bonus points that the prop valve is in the correct orientation
  21. oh good. I'd need instructions.
  22. it's a good subtle but eye popping color. I could run it.
