  1. there are a few different diesel engine swaps in here: https://comancheclub.com/forum/41-mj-hardcore-tech-epic-journeys-to-greatness/
  2. don't worry about the front. front is custom. rear is SOA using stock well-worn leafs with an AAL made from another MJ main leaf (with the eyes cut off and jammed under the current main). the stock 30 year old shackles have not yet proven to be a problem.
  3. 'tis an interesting concept, but I've not yet found myself wanting even more rear wheel travel.
  4. would if I could. it's on my bucket list for sure (to attend, not compete)
  5. lenses. it appears they are just making lenses and you have to separate your housings and glue in the new parts. but they are pure stock from what I've seen and so that leaves open the market for snazzy upgrades.
  6. from scratch? or for a top-off?
  7. ahhh, what a glorious blank canvas
  8. think you can get a refund on that undercoat? love me some original paperwork!
  9. I don't see the photos.
  10. please make sure that some of your awesome projects get their own thread in the DIY forum so more guys will see them
  11. your floors are not immune. water intrusion can happen to any MJ.
  12. free is the best price
  13. the tow rating of a JK/JL is abysmal. the Jeep truck can at least tow a thing or 2.
  14. also happy new year to the east coasters!
  15. ahhh, humans. from the dawn of time searching for new and different excuses to socialize and consume mind altering substances. my next dog is going to go through some firearms training. my Uncle's hunting dog did and fireworks meant nothing to him. meanwhile I could tell you when a thunderstorm was approaching loooong before even I could hear anything because there was an 80# husky cowering under the bed. (or at least trying too as he really didn't fit)
  16. it's purely vibration absorption, there's no real flex involved (or at least there shouldn't be as it's just a mount for the differential). the most common fix (aside from a random junkyard part that just happens to be a bit better) is to remove the bushing and cast the whole thing in urethane. not as absorbent but works all the same to hold up the diff. the problem I was having with the old is the rubber at the top was crushing so much that the diff was rising up and contacting the engine, causing a bad vibration. come to think of it, this issue may not even happen in the v6 KJs. that would explain why I found it hard to get opinions on what to do.
  17. I thought that too, but haven't yet been able to find an off the self bushing that fits. eventually I'm going to press out the rotted bushing and get an accurate dimension.
  18. how about now?
  19. nope. the supply ran dry many years ago. and no aftermarket company has stepped up yet. CRDs may be rare, but Libertys are not. it's a bit puzzling to me.
  20. old on the left. new old on the right. both are shot but the new one is juuuuust better enough I guess. vibration has stopped when in reverse. if it happens again I'm injecting urethane into the voids to make a solid unit.
  21. yes, 2020 is a hiccup in everything.
