  1. If it was R-12, I would have thought the yard would have drained the system. :dunno:
  2. Prime it? :hmm:
  3. Doesn't much matter which side since we can flip the image. :D The bigger the image the better, we can always shrink it. When all is said and done, we should probably get a single person to host all the images.
  4. 4.0 is the low end of what will work. 4.56 or 4.88 would be better with 35s.
  5. You might want to add aftermarket and stock backspaced rims to that. And there should probably be some standardization of picture (all from the side, or a 3/4 shot, etc). It could get to be a huge list. :brows:
  6. Yup. Everything associated with the A/C needs to swap over. All the piping, controls, etc. It's sorta a pain in the butt. Plus you never know the condition of the junkyard parts. A tiny hole can cause all sorts of hassle. At least you can get a pressurization check-out for free. 8)
  7. Yes, 2wds and 4wds use slightly different springs.
  8. A 1988 brochure and owners manual?
  9. I swear that's the number one cause of no-starts at my house. Poor connection at the battery.
  10. Auto or manual is really more of a personal preference (as long as you've got the right gearing). Me, I like manual transmissions.... for everything. :D We once owned a minivan with a manual in it.
  11. Well, between the TJ drivetrain and the custom crossmember, mine essentially has a t-case rise on it so the whole thing is flush with the bottom of the frame. But anything is possible. :D You could always get rid of the t-case drop. :brows:
  12. Yeah, when I say I prefer my radiator with the cap on it (not the full out conversion, just the later model radiator), I forget that my truck had that sensor in the radiator hose (which is apparently pretty odd).
  13. Through a relay! Run it through a relay. :D
  14. Unfortunately I won't be of much help here. I wired my fan through a relay to a switch in the cab. Another choice would be running it thougha relay to a switched hot lead so it just came on with the truck.
  15. I bought the plain-Jane coppers for my trucks and they work great. :D
  16. And knowing is half the battle...
  17. I know there's at least one of each on here, but you may need to be patient. Or do a search through the blog forum to find them and contact them directly.
  18. How old is the oil? Might be time to replace it anyways.
  19. You're sure that nothing is coming out the top by the windshield? Maybe the big flapper door is stuck shut. Does that let in the fresh air? I remember screwing around with it before in my 88, but don't remember why. A screwdriver stuck through the the hole down by the passenger's feet freed it up.
  20. I've heard of people successfully welding up those types of cracks. And I've heard plenty of them complain that the headers just cracked again somewhere else. :( I'm not a welder though, so I personally can't say.
  21. car-part.com is a good source for junkyard parts.
  22. Is the fan not working? or is the air only coming out the top windshield defroster vents?
  23. Dang. The rust free ones always look so pretty. :D
