My trucks are sooooo envious. :cheers: Blinding though it may be, I'm sure the bright white helps keep it cool in the sunshine. 8) I know my dark/flat red paint that was previously on the 88 really soaked up the heat. After a couple hours of combined driving/sunshine the hood could get hot enough for gloves. :fs1: Now she's covered in a glossy tan color and that should help out immensely. :D

What specifically are you looking for? MJ stuff is pretty scattered across the net.

I'm really racking my brain on this one, but I think you can swap in the thermostat housing from a later model engine and use the temp sensor that goes in it. Or something like that.

Count the splines on the input shaft. :thumbsup: My guess is that it'll be 21 spline. The AX-15s are 23 spline. You couldn't pay me to run a Peugeot in my trucks, so I'd go about finding either a 23 spline t-case (preferably the later models with the sealed rear output) or find a 23 spline input shaft and swap that into your current t-case.

Yes indeedy. There's an MJ on the cover of my "Accessories" brochure with both a rollbar and a tonneau cover. Although the blip inside the book that talks about the tonneau cover mentions nothing about a rollbar option.

I had 4x6s back there. Then switched to 6x9s in little boxes. Then added a small 10 sub. Then removed the 6x9s. Having 5 1/4s in the doors (actually they are component 5.25s with separate tweeters) and a small sub in the back turned out the best for me. :thumbsup:

The factory masters can last 20+ years. It'd be hard to top that. :D

Dana 35s should be filled with concrete. Makes for a better boat anchor. :D

Why?

Yup. The most common ratio with the 2.5L and 4spd manual trans is 3.55, which is too high of a ratio (too low of a number) for that engine and bigger tires. There's a chance you've got a better ratio, but you'll need to confirm it. The most common ratio for a 2.5L with the 5spd manual (same trans but with overdrive) is 4.10. That would help with the larger tires. Being 2wd it'll be half the work too. :D Look for any MJ/XJ/YJ/TJ rear axle with 4.10s in it. And if you're wondering, changing gears in an axle is one job better left to the pros, and it can be very expensive. :( Plus then you'd be wasting all that money on a Dana 35. As to the tires sticking out, the bed of an MJ is actually wider than the front (the front and rear axles are about the same width). A solution would be to buy a pair of wheel spacers to push the rear rims out to better visually match the front. (make sure the spacers are "hub-centric" and of decent quality).
