  1. Not only is that a hacked-up Cherokee burning instead of the MJ, the fullsize Jeep had a stand-in also. Neither rig driving across the desert is seen burning in the later scene. Note the mirrors on the driving SJ: and then the mirrors on the burning SJ:
  2. I would soooooooo daily-drive that. but this one would make the better tow rig:
  3.
  4. Just in case you didn't hear........Yesterday (2/12/10) was the first day in history that 49 states had some snow  The only state that didn't........well, your not driving to that one :teehee: You just can't escape the snow this year :headpop: yeah, and the one that apparently didn't have snow usually has snow on the top of the volcano practically year round. :shake:
  5. what gears are you running? any plans for strengthening the drivetrain?
  6. 33 by what? what control arms do you have?
  7. said hello to my georgia MJ. :waving:
  8. half way there. :D stopped in GA for the night and to pick up my sister. made it in record time too. just over 11.5 hours. :ack: tomorrow we head out to cover the last 7.5. I left a snow covered landscape in michigan, drove seven hundred plus miles due south... only to find more snow. :wall:
  9. my MJ doesn't look like it does in my avatar either. :D not after I painted it at least. Here's a red version mr stickler-for-accuracy:

  12. looks right to me. if he flipped it over it'd be super easy. 90 and earlier have a mechanical speedo hookup. I see a busted mounting tab on the lower left edge.
  13. we have a Libby CRD. Absolutely love it. :D
  14. as logical as it sounds, that just increases my work load even more. we have a rule in place right now that requires a location be posted and I can't seem to get people to do it. what would make them post up in the proper location? what about areas that border 2 forums? does someone need to quintiple post a small shippable item for sale? good thought, but far too complicated for our little forum. :(
  15. Why exactly do I need to check with them about availability? It's an ebay auction. shouldn't they have a product ready to go before they put it online? :rotf:
  16. I don't understand. to get a 4.6 stroker, you put a 4.2 crank into a 4.0 block, not the other way around. :hmm: What do you hope to accomplish with these worn out parts?
  17. the peugeot is a bit skinnier than the AX-15, but they are the same overall length. When you crawl under neath, does the trans have a series of bolts in a row running front to back? The Peugeot's case splits into a left and right half and has bolts along the bottom and top. The AX-15's case has a front half and a rear half, joined together at a 1" thick ring of aluminum. you can see the thick ring on the AX-15 here And you can see the seem of the Peugeot circled here. Note that the AX-15 has no such front-to-back seam.
  18. I ask because Peugeots have a nasty habit of losing reverse. :(
  19. a fan shroud is an important part of the system.
  20. I have multiple trucks so I included their various levels of decrepitude. :D
  21. :dunno: The hair on my chinny-chin-chin has never been longer than maybe an inch.
  22. holy crap. is that a malfunctioning lane-maintain assist?
