  1. JIM! JIM! JIM! JIM!
  2. many of our members are posting from a cell phone. :D be sure to grab the little bracket that holds down the rear of the center console. And the 99 seats don't exactly bolt right in. You'll need to fab some stuff up. Depending on what got smashed, I'd also try to grab the mirrors, the door seals, seat belts, front axle shafts, obviously the front grille, and maybe even the t-case.
  3. I'm always in favor of clean Comanches never touching salt again. :D
  4. first gen Cherokee? Are you referring to the fullsize Cherokee/grand Waggy? Yes, you will still need custom steering rods. You are swapping in a completely different axle here, everything will need to be custom.
  5. I haven't noticed anything different. :dunno:
  6. you have to make new steering rods.
  7. not sure what it'd take to make into a printed vinyl cutout, but regardless, I imagine that the first order of business is we need a good quality shot of a good quality emblem for the photoshop wizards to work their magic. I don't own a good one, so I can't get a good photo.
  8. I will do my best to help out any MJ owner, wherever they are. :D
  9. just don't get closer. It was painted with a brush and housepaint. :ack: The only other photo I have of her:
  10. yes I do. and even if I didn't, I can get more made up.
  11. ya, I have a feeling there are more miles on that AX-15 then the seller let on. :fs1:
  12. looks vaguely familiar... :hmm: :D
  13. what about just using one? that way you retain the storage space behind the drivers seat.
  14. have you checked inside the bulb sockets for corrosion?
  15. I almost lost my 4.0 to a fram filter (on the way to a weekend of wheeling no less). With no warning I noticed that I had 0 oil pressure about an hour into my drive. I was figuring that my pump was going (didn't know about frams yet) and my "fix" was to stop by a parts store and refill the truck with a heavier weight oil. that caused the pressure needle to at least move, though it never got above 10 psi when revving the engine. After babying it the entire weekend, I got home and asked around. A couple guys mentioned the filter and so I swapped it out. sure enough, the pressure came back immediately. Never used a fram since.
  16. It's not just the crappy seals. The pivot hole at the base likes to oval out. And even if the hole is good and the seal keeps out the rain, the thing can still whistle on the road. :fs1: I eventually had to seal up the drs side in my 88 with a bunch of silicone. So be very VERY picky about which ones you buy. don't just grab the first ones because you're excited to see them. starting with a decent condition pair is your best bet to avoid headaches later. and for what it's worth, I don't recommend them.
  17. yes :D viewtopic.php?f=3&t=23204
  18. how much support does that give to the MJ main leaf? My mains weren't getting enough support from the MJ second leaf and that was one of the big reasons I added another MJ main in as an AAL. I'm assuming the XJ second leaf would be even shorter.
  19. plus the ThunderChief still exists. rumor has it the Freedom got scrapped. :(
  20. all decals and stickers are available for donations. anything you'd like to send. (try to send at least 2 bucks so it covers shipping) Send me a PM with what you want, name/address, and whether you'll be using paypal or snail mail.
  21. Oooo, the chase in "the french connection", where he's following the train. I love that one.
  22. Someday I really should pull them all out and arrange them for a decent photo. even if it's in the dang parking lot. and here's an older one, right after I bought my 3rd MJ (the only one I don't still have).
  23. It looks great, but it looks drawn. plus it'll have to be about 4-5 times as big to gain the necessary quality.
