    clown loaches...

not mine. just a generic interweb photo. :D
  2. what are you wanting to do?
  3. wow. that bites. :ack: You seem to be taking it well. :D
  4. Tech Qs should really go in the tech forum so more eyes will see it and it'll be there for future searches. You've got one heck of a build going.

    i'm famous!

not bad for 4 of your 15 seconds of fame. :D
  6. my 360 dakota is wicked fast and our awd Libby is as surefooted as anything on the road in inclement weather. I can only imagine if I got to combine the two together. Nice Jeep!

    clown loaches...

weird thing is that clown loaches were listed as "community fish". :dunno: My red tailed shark is the bully of my tank. :D Oldest fish i have too.
  8. I run sticks so I haven't put much thought into how I would do it, but from my interweb readings, if it doesn't go in front of the rad then a fan is a must and protection from rocks and road debris is also very important.
  9. Clown Loaches are awesome fish. I almost wish they weren't quite so efficient at wiping out my snail infestation so there would be more snails to watch them eat. :)
  10. a length of brake line maybe?
  11. Been there, done that, shoulda got a t-shirt. Be sure to follow the doc's instructions. don't overstress the tendons early or you'll be back in surgery in no time.
  12. Looks like I might need to build one of my own someday. :brows:
  13. made one for a member and I have a couple extra if anyone wants one. These are just like the windshield banners, but made to mount to the outside of a truck (side of a truck cap, back window, etc). I do not suggest mounting these to the windshield. the wipers and the wind will make short work of destroying them. if there are more members wanting them, I'll get more printed up.
  14. dunno. there were guys on the radio nearby. Could have been talking about something or someone else. I was too fascinated by watching the truck rise up over the horizon, then dip down below the horizon. :D My apologies for forgetting that the camera was on a poorer quality setting. :(
  15. I wanna say the lakeview cruiser went ~175mph the day before, but don't quote me. they were having fuel issues (running rich) so they should have gone even faster on the run you saw.

yes, but will a new block really fix the problem if it's simply a bad injector or timing chain?
  17. :agree: My peugeot got stuck in second once. after exhausting all options available to me on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere, I kicked the shifter handle out of frustration. popped right out and for some reason didn't have that issue ever again. (the trans blew up the next year)
  18. amen to that. tried quitting caffeine many times over the years. Decided that I'm happy to simply be down to a can or 2 a day.
  19. very nice truck! yup. the projects forum is where we ask about your truck.
  20. re-parked the 90 and 86 (moved them to allow access to the downed tree). They had both been parked slightly downhill and the recent storms had dumped some water in the beds. So after re-parking, I hooked the trailer to one and then the other to weigh down the backend and help drain the h2o. With any luck, this evening I'll be able to work on the 88. Still need to reorient the rear axle so I can hook up the driveshaft. Debating on doing the 3rd member swap to the open diff unit sooner rather than later. The spool is driving me nuts on the pavement. :ack:
  21. me too. :( twice now I've seen it in person, and neither time was it even able to crank over.

What has convinced you that it's dead? bottom end noise? no power?
  23. Zelda too.
