  1. rubicon express has a reputation for high quality stuff and you'll get your money's worth.
  2. I did too. but still not in the way that you're thinking. MJs have a wider rearend than the front. my rear bumper measures 66" and the front 62". I swear I once saw a photo of a guy that put an XJ front bumper on the back of his MJ, but I cannot find it. :dunno: I don't remember it fitting very well.
  3. faulty egr?
  4. don't even think about a v8 unless you've got gobs of money to throw at it. there's nothing cheap about that swap. the 3.4 is a great option if you wire in the fuel injection too. I've read that it's pretty much stand-alone on the Camaros and Firebirds and that makes it about as easy as it gets for an FI swap. If your truck feels sluggish, then you might want to try and figure out what's wrong before throwing the guts away.
  5. you might want to break these up into different threads.
  6. only on v6 models. I can only guess that you could find a 4.56 geared 4banger axle and swap on the disks from a v6.
  7. someone broke into my garage (I'm on the corner and so the garage is right on the street) and stole the compressor and snowblower. nothing else. thieves are interested in items that are easy to steal, easy to pawn off, and whatever gets them out of there as fast as possible. do you have a newer garage door opener with the revolving codes or the older ones with a single set code?
  8. maybe. :dunno: new updates pop up every few weeks. if I could just find someone near me to physically show me how the uploading is done step by step, I could handle it myself. the reward of functional polling is just not worth the risk of me zapping the entire forum structure. :typing:
  9. sure they didn't just pick the lock?
  10. we had problems before the update. most were cured. now we've got different ones. from what I've gathered, this stems mostly from the fact that I put off the update for so long that phpbb didn't have the exact patch needed and the closest one to it gave us these issues.
  11. the bolts are metric. exact same ones used on the lower control arms, so if you've got a cheap junkyard near you, you've got access to a bunch of them.
  12. ford = reliable? :dunno:
  13. I guess. we did get some benefits out of it. they just aren't as visible as the problems.
  14. we've all had that problem (along with the polls and a few other random things) since the last software update. :(
  15. on my dad's HP laptop, he gets the same effect if he clicks both "mouse" buttons at once.
  16. strokers has phpbb. naxja is vb. I've clicked the "sign in automatically" box so I've not experienced the exact thing you're talking about, but as admin, a similar thing occurs when I sign in to the administrative pages. kinda annoying and it's been that way ever since that last infamous update of the software, so I was curious if it happened to you guys to at the same time.
  17. so you're not clicking on anything, you're waiting for the forum to take you back automatically? are those other forums phpbb based?

    KJ opinions

we have an '06 crd in the family. the seats and window switch locations suck. everything else is A-ok.
  19. what exactly are you guys clicking on that sends you back to the main page? I mean, specifically which button?
  20. when did it start happening?
  21. sounds like your resistor pack died. If I'm remembering right, it is located right in front of the passengers left shin and should be accessed with an 8mm wrench.
  22. have you replaced the 160 yet?
  23. and as I said on jf, it's already an upgrade. on par with the 44 and 8.8s. nothing more to do but bask in the ownership of a rare MJ gem. :D
  24. I hate to be a potential wet blanket, but I gotta mention that it's illegal to drive on the street with a home-brew suspension here in michigan. not sure about other states. I wouldn't worry about the being pulled over by the cops too much, but in the event of a failure you could be liable for all damage (i.e. your insurance company might not cover anything).
  25. "should" be 4.10 since that's all that was officially offered with the 86 metric ton package.
