  1. the most common leak area that seems to cause that is the vacuum reservoir located in the bumper towards the pass side.
  2. I'm sure there are official ways of doing that, but I don't know what they are. I'd probably swap it with its neighbor and see if the missing moves. :dunno:
  3. MJ factory bars will have the rear runners going straight into the front angled part of the wheelwell instead of the top of the wheelwell or all the way to the floor.
  4. got a photo of a 2.5 one? I don't yet have a 2.5 MJ.
  5. It's possible that the injector is clogged or that it's receiving a weak signal (or no signal at all) :dunno:
  6. check your local craigslist for rollbars. most small truck rollbars will work.
  7. yup, that. also check the condition of the resistor pack.
  8. any evidence of brake fluid in the fuse panel?
  9. SYEs are not needed on MJs until you hit maybe 8". and even then it's due to needing the strength upgrade rather than an angularity issue. We have a much longer wheelbase than XJs and TJs and so our driveshaft angles are much less severe. We have 2 members here that have had Rustys leaf fail on them. Hellcreek would be a better option. rough riding lifts are typically due to cheap shocks and/or stiff coils. be sure to do your research and you should be able to avoid both. It's usually less of a "this lift sucks" and more of a philosophical difference with how a lift should be (plus an added variable in that cheap lifts will typically have cheap shocks because, well, otherwise the lift wouldn't be cheap anymore). Lift companies with a history of parts failures or horrible customer service should generally be avoided. don't forget the laundry list of parts that go with those 4.5" coils.
  10. seems there is yet another item on our trucks that's GM in origin. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/access ... ing=search
  11. tried autozone? napa?
  12. maybe corrosion in the headlight sockets?
  13. 318 was the smaller v8. 360 was the larger v8. the 350 we're referring to is a chevy engine.
  14. Pitfalls? What pitfalls? What's a pitfall? –noun 2. any trap or danger for the unwary mostly I'm thinking that some people think you can do a stroker for "cheap". also:
  15. be sure to read up extensively on the stroker. there are pitfalls there too.
  16. both of you can knock it off. now. but back to the v8 discussion, v8s are notoriously difficult to make work in an XJ/MJ. not that they haven't been done, but they are usually full of headaches and there are numerous examples of failed swaps out there. even successful swaps are frequently hampered by sooling problems. be prepared to gut everything from your truck, axles included, and plan on a long and expensive journey. :( a chevy v8 would probably be the least amount of headache, since it's been done more than the others. but even then the adapter parts and custom parts aren't cheap.
  17. disks don't actually affect the spline count in explorers. all Explorer 8.8s had 31 splines regardless of brake style. now, if it came from a different ford product, the rules change.
  18. I can't find any reason why you shouldn't be able to post up. tried starting a new thread in the "test" forum? have you tried from a different computer?
  19. looks like an 8.8 to me.
  20. can you get me a link to the thread?
  21. I think the painting turned out pretty good. most of us have 20/20 trucks anyways. they look good from 20 ft or at 20 mph. :D
  22. I assume you've reported this to craigslist, yes?
  23. there ya go. :D now if you can just find the "macro" setting on the camera so the close up shots are a bit more in focus, you'll be golden.
  24. an older website that would link together other websites of a common topic.
