what parts do you need? your local auto parts store should have most everything except axle shafts.

86 MJs would have the 207. all others should have the 231, although there are 2 different spline counts on the input shaft depending on the year and engine.

Go over to NAXJA and the other forums that cover the full Jeep range and check the HELP ME!s regarding starting, idling, stumbling, hesitating, dieing out, etc. etc. At least 10 to 1 in favor of Renix sensor junk. C'mon Pete, it was designed as a last gasp AMC alliance w. Renault and was a bastardized kluge ignition system and still is. I can see the point of carrying on the tradition of beating the Renix dead horse for tradition's sake or for maintaining a classic vehicle's original status for some, but none of the Renix era stuff will ever be a classic. the chysler stuff was built atop the shoulders of the renix design. of course it's going to be "better". it should be. :cheers: I'm just saying that I prefer carbs, I mean renix. :rotfl2:

the only axle that will bolt in to the front is a Dana 30. be it from an XJ MJ or whatever. everything else is custom and expensive. :thumbsup: gearing is the most important ingredient. after that, completeness. your 2wd brakes will not work on a 4wd axle, so you'll need all those parts.

rubicon express has a reputation for high quality stuff and you'll get your money's worth. :thumbsup:

I did too. but still not in the way that you're thinking. MJs have a wider rearend than the front. my rear bumper measures 66" and the front 62". I swear I once saw a photo of a guy that put an XJ front bumper on the back of his MJ, but I cannot find it. :dunno: I don't remember it fitting very well.

don't even think about a v8 unless you've got gobs of money to throw at it. there's nothing cheap about that swap. the 3.4 is a great option if you wire in the fuel injection too. I've read that it's pretty much stand-alone on the Camaros and Firebirds and that makes it about as easy as it gets for an FI swap. If your truck feels sluggish, then you might want to try and figure out what's wrong before throwing the guts away.

only on v6 models. :thumbsup: I can only guess that you could find a 4.56 geared 4banger axle and swap on the disks from a v6.

someone broke into my garage (I'm on the corner and so the garage is right on the street) and stole the compressor and snowblower. nothing else. thieves are interested in items that are easy to steal, easy to pawn off, and whatever gets them out of there as fast as possible. do you have a newer garage door opener with the revolving codes or the older ones with a single set code?

maybe. :dunno: new updates pop up every few weeks. if I could just find someone near me to physically show me how the uploading is done step by step, I could handle it myself. the reward of functional polling is just not worth the risk of me zapping the entire forum structure. :typing:

we had problems before the update. most were cured. now we've got different ones. from what I've gathered, this stems mostly from the fact that I put off the update for so long that phpbb didn't have the exact patch needed and the closest one to it gave us these issues.

the bolts are metric. exact same ones used on the lower control arms, so if you've got a cheap junkyard near you, you've got access to a bunch of them. :thumbsup:

I guess. we did get some benefits out of it. they just aren't as visible as the problems.
